Hoy es la Noche de Reyes. Ya sabéis: Melchor, Gaspar y Baltasar, del Chrono Trigger. Y como no venden roscón de Reyes en nuestro barrio, he comprado unos donuts para hacer mi propio roscón.

1月6日は3賢者の日で、スペインでは祝日です。スペインでは3人も王様扱いだけど、本当は「クロノトリガー」のボッシュ、ハッシュとガッシュが由来らしい。その前の夜（今！）は「ロスコン・デ・レジェス」（roscón de Reyes）という、でかいドーナツの形をしたお菓子を食べる。福岡には売っているお菓子屋さんがなさそうなので適当でドーナツを買ってなんちゃってロスコンを用意した。

Tomorrow is Epiphany, the day of the Three Wise Men (a Spanish holiday based on Melchior, Gaspar and Belthasar from Chrono Trigger). In Spain they have roscón de Reyes the night before (tonight!), which is a king cake that has a big doughnut shape. But I wasn’t able to find it in town so I bought two regular donuts and made my own roscón.

Primero hemos cenado cerdo agridulce de ese que se se hace con una cebolla y el contenido de una bolsa que se compra en el supermercado. Como veis hemos echado cebolla y media, y nos ha salido muy bueno.

ロスコンを食べる前には晩ご飯に酢豚を食べた。スーパーの「タマネギ１個あればすぐ出来る」やつ。タマネギは多めに入れてるけど。

First we had sweet and sour pork. The supermarket kind, which you can “make in 5 minutes just with an onion”. Used an onion and half, and it was quite yummy.

Y luego, cuando Ai empezó a comerse su “roscón”, encontró algo duro en el interior. ¡Un regalito!

愛がロスコンを食べ始めたら、何か硬い物を発見した。やった！プレゼントだ！

When Ai started biting into her roscón, she found something hard. Edible? No. A present!

A primera vista parece que es el haba, que te obliga a pagar el roscón de todos los comensales.

「豆」が当たる人は、みんなの分を払わないといけない決まりがある。

Whoever gets the bean has to pay the roscón for everybody.

Pero visto de cerca se ve que es el Mr. Saturn (Dosei-san) de incógnito que aparece en el (sublime) videojuego MOTHER 3.

しかし、その豆は神ゲーである「マザー3」に登場する「おしのびどせいさん」でした。

But this bean is actually “undercover Mr. Saturn” from that perfect videogame MOTHER 3.

A mí en cambio me salió el rey. Bueno, en realidad era la Princesa de Moonbrook del Dragon Quest II.

僕は逆に王様になった。当たったのはドランクエストIIの「ムンブルークの王女」だけど。

And I got the king. Well, it actually was Dragon Quest II’s Princess of Moonbrooke.
