En Tokyo Game Show pude, contra todo pronóstico, hacer ejercicio. Konami estaba presentando el Let’s Yoga, un programa de Nintendo DS que enseña a hacer yoga, y me puse a hacer el tonto delante de la chica que hacía yoga. Al final acabaron llamándome para que hiciera lo mismo a su lado.
I didn’t expect it, but I ended up doing exercise at the Tokyo Game Show. Konami was promoting its yoga support software for Nintendo DS Let’s Yoga, そ I started acting weird before the stage until they called me to do exactly the same along with the demo girl.
El Tokyo Game Show no es un sitio muy divertido si no te gusta hacer cola, así que Héctor y yo pensamos en hacer algo cachondo dentro. Al final hicimos calimocho (vino malo con Coca-Cola) y fuimos ofreciendo a la gente con resultados variados.
Tokyo Game Show isn’t such an interesting place if you don’t like waiting in queue, so Hector and I thought about doing something off-beat. We ended up bringing cheap wine and Coke to make calimocho, a very popular cocktail in Spain, and offered it to some people with mixed results.

I was very surprised there was a guy dressed up as a screen from Nobunaga no Yabou (Nobunaga’s Ambition), which is a history-themed strategy videogame for the Famicom (Japanese NES). Here’s a screenshot from the original game.
Si vimos un juego interesante en el Tokyo Game Show de hace un mes, fue este tal Matador que os presentamos aquí. No tiene mucho que ver con los toros (lo que es de agradecer), pero se aprovecha de la estética hasta límites perversos.
If we saw an interesting game at Tokyou Game Show a month ago, it must be Matador. It’s awesome that it has nothing to do with bullfighting, and it’s also amazing that the graphics use that much bullfighting paraphernalia.

Este modo de juego se llama “Gyuushien”, que es una coña al “Koushien”, la liga nacional de béisbol de institutos de bachillerato. El Koushien se hace dos veces al año, y es la segunda liga de béisbol más importante de Japón.
このゲームモードは「牛子園」といって明らかに「甲子園」とのだじゃれだ。
This game mode is called “Gyuushien”, what is a put with “Koushien”, the national hi-school baseball league. Koushien is held twice a year, and it’s the second most important baseball league in Japan.
