Este fin de semana hicimos en Dazaifu Tenmangū nuestra primera visita del año al templo, lo que en japonés se llama hatsumōde. Para mí no es ningún ritual religioso sino una cosa social y casi turística.
先週末は初詣に太宰府天満宮に行ってきました。僕にとって、宗教的な儀式より社会的、ほぼ観光的なことです。
Last weekend we went to Dazaifu Tenmangū for hatsumōde, which means the first visit to a temple every year. It’s no religious ritual to me, but more of a social or even tourism thing.
Los papelitos de la suerte (omikuji) te dicen la suerte que vas a tener este año. Yo soy propenso a acordarme solo de lo que me interesa, de manera que solo esa parte me hace efecto. ¡Por cierto, a Ai le salió “gran suerte” (大吉)!
おみくじに関しては、いいことばかり覚えることが多い。こうすると、自分の思いや考えに影響するのはそれだけ。ところで愛のは大吉だった！
Fortune paper strips (omikuji) tell things about your luck for this year. I’m prone to remember only good stuff, so it’s the only stuff that affects me. By the way Ai’s was “great luck” (大吉)!
A mí me salió solo “suerte” (吉) pero leyendo los diferentes apartados que están escritos en japonés antiguo me di cuenta de que mi nivel de japonés ha mejorado bastante, así que estoy contento. Por ejemplo, traduzco alguno rapidito:
- Deseos: Se concederán rápido y con alegría. Sé agradecido con la gente.
- Objetos perdidos: Los encontrarás donde menos lo esperabas.
- Viajes: No es bueno apresurarse en demasía.
- Estudios: Prohibidos los descuidos. Tendrás suerte en exámenes de ingreso.
- Búsqueda de trabajo: Con ayuda de la familia se arreglará lo del empleo.
僕のは普通に吉だったけど、難しい日本語で書いてある運勢の説明を読んでみたら自分の日本語力が上がってることが分かって嬉しかった。例えば：
- 願望：早く叶いて喜びあり 人に感謝せよ
- 失物：思いがけぬ処より出る
- 旅行：あまり急ぐは宜しからず
- 学問：油断は禁物 試験入学吉
- 求職：家族の助けありて、職ととのう
I only got “luck” (吉), but when I was reading the specific luck for various things (which is written in old Japanese) I was happy to realize my Japanese has got better. Here are some of the aspects:
- Wishes: Will come true soon and with joy. Be thankful to people.
- Lost articles: Will come out of places you would not think of.
- Travel: It is not good to hurry.
- Studies: No negligence will be permitted. Luck at entry exams.
- Job seeking: Will be in order with help from the family.
También escribí un deseo en un ema (estas tablas de madera) y lo colgué con los de todo el mundo. ¡Estuvo muy bien el hatsumōde sobre todo porque hizo muy buen tiempo!
絵馬も書いてみた。天気がよくて気持ちいい初詣だった！
I also wrote a wish on an ema (these wooden boards) and hung it with everyone else’s. I loved this year’s hatsumōde because weather was great!
