El fin de semana pasado tuvo lugar en Fukuoka un evento que tenía como objetivo aumentar la visibilidad de la relativamente potente industria del videojuego de Fukuoka y Kyushu: Fukuoka Game Festival.
先週末、元気な福岡と九州のゲーム業界の認知度をあげることを目的にしたイベントがあった：福岡ゲームフェスティバル。
Last weekend an event took place in Fukuoka with the aim of giving the quite active Fukuoka and Kyushu video games industry more visibility: the Fukuoka Game Festival.
El sarao tenía cuatro partes:
- Exposición de diseños originales hechos por gente de por aquí
- Máquinas preparadas para que todo el mundo pruebe juegos desarrollados en la zona
- Ordenadores habilitados para diseñar tu propio personaje
- Información sobre empresas locales activas en este ramo
イベントは下記の4つのパートに分けられる。
- ゲームグラフィック・ミュージアム
- ゲームソフト体験コーナー
- キャラクターデザイン体験コーナー
- 福岡ゲーム産業コーナー
It had 4 parts:
- An exhibition of design originals by people from the region
- Machines ready for trying games made around here
- Some computers ready for you to design your own character
- Information about some local videogame companies
Como estaba prohibido hacer fotos de los diseños (bien por la organización, restando alcance al evento) paso directamente a los 6 juegos que había para probar, de los que la mitad eran para PSP, y de los tres restantes dos eran juegos de anime para máquinas de sobremesa (Naruto y One Piece). El único juego de DS que se podía probar era la cuarta entrega del Profesor Layton: Majin no Fue.
ゲームグラフィック原画の所が撮影禁止になっていてイベントや業界の認知度が上がりにくくてもったいない。と思いつつソフト体験コーナーの様子を見に行った。6つのゲームの中半分はPSP用で、DSの「レイトン教授と魔神の笛」を除くと残り2つは据え置き機用のアニメゲーム（NARUTOとワンピース）だった。
As it was forbidden to take pictures at the design originals exhibition (a very poor way to increase visibility for your event or market) I went on to the demo machines place. Of the 6 games available, half of them were for the PSP. The other 3 were the DS’s fourth installment in the Professor Layton series (Majin no Fue) and 2 console anime games: Naruto and One Piece.
En estos ordenadores, que son iguales que los que usan para hacer los juegos en las empresas participantes, se podía colorear un personaje y verlo moverse en el videojuego. Parece que a los niños y estudiantes les encantó.
このパソコンはゲーム会社で制作に使われるのと同じで、キャラクターデザインのカラーリングをしてみたらゲーム内で自分の絵が動いているところが見られる。子供と学生さんで人気だったみたい。
At this computers –which are the same ones they use for work at videogame companies– one could color a character and then see it in action inside the videogame. Children and students loved it.
Había un montón de paneles con láminas expuestas llenas de información sobre las empresas de videojuegos de la región. Este es Akihiro Hino, el jefe de Level 5. Su empresa es famosa gracias a los juegos del Profesor Layton y por haber desarrollado para Square Enix Dragon Quest VIII y IX.
福岡と九州のゲーム会社についての情報が展示してあった。写真のはレベルファイブの日野晃博社長。この会社はレイトン教授シリーズと、スクエアエニックスに頼まれて開発したドラゴンクエストVIIとIXで有名になった。
There were lots of panels showing information about the region’s videogame companies. This is Akihiro Hino, the boss of Level 5, famous for the Professor Layton series and for developing Dragon Quest VIII and IX for Square Enix.
La movida fue pequeña (lo que veis en la primera foto es casi todo) pero estuvo muy bien ver colaboración entre la Universidad de Kyushu, varias entidades gubernamentales de Fukuoka y Kyushu, y la GFF que por cierto es una asociación de empresas de videojuegos que trabajan en Kyushu. Parece que quieren hacer de Fukuoka el Hollywood de los videojuegos. ¿Crees que lo conseguirán?
一番上の写真で見えるように小さいイベントだったけど、九州大学と福岡・九州のいくつかの行政機関とGFFの協力が見えて面白かった。ちなみにGFFは福岡・九州のゲーム会社が集まる協会で、福岡をゲーム産業のハリウッドにしたいらしい。出来ると思う？
The event wasn’t big (you can see most of it in the first picture) but it was good to see some cooperation among Kyushu University, some government entities from the region, and the GFF. The GFF by the way is an association which groups videogame companies working in Fukuoka and Kyushu. They want to turn Fukuoka into the videogame industry’s Hollywood. Do you think they will make it?
