Ayer esperando a unos amigos en Hakata, la estación de Shinkansen de Fukuoka, vi a un hombre arreglando una de las máquinas que comprueban los billetes al entrar o salir al recinto. Buena oportunidad de verlas por dentro.

昨日博多駅で、新幹線で友達が来るのを待ってたら改札機を修理している人がいた。中身のぞきチャンス！

Yesterday waiting for some friends who were coming to Hakata in the Shinkansen, I saw a guy who was repairing one of those ticket checking machine. A great chance to have a peek at the inside.

Estas maquinas son impresionantes porque puedes meter el billete en cualquier orientación y te lo devuelven comprobado y marcado en dos segundos, que es lo que tardas en pasar por la máquina.

この機械は凄いと思う。切符をどの向きでも入れてもいいのに、2秒以内に確認して返してくれてる。その2秒は普通に歩いてるしね。

I find these machines great because you can put your ticket in in any orientation, and still it will be checked and back out in 2 seconds while you walk through the gate.

Uno de mis últimos gadgets es esta batería de litio de 1400 mAh de la marca Linkage que recarga mis cacharros a través de cables cargadores USB. Me la compré mayormente porque al iPhone se le gasta bastante rápido.

最近買った電機の中で気に入ったのはこのLinkage製のリチウム充電式バッテリー（容量：1400mAh）。USB充電ケーブルを繋げると何でも充電出来る。主に、充電があまり持たないiPhoneのために買った。

One of my latest gadgets is this 1400 mAh lithium rechargeable battery from Linkage. You can charge anything provided you have a USB charge cable for it. I got it mainly for my iPhone, because its battery drains too fast.

家に帰るとピンを出して、コンセントに刺して、寝かす。このメーカーの物の中では、世界地図が描いてあるやつなら海外でも使えるらしい（入力100〜240V）。端子を変換したら、スペイン等でも使える。

Back home, take those pins out, plug it and let it have a rest. I’ve seen some different batteries from this maker, and looks like the ones with a world map on them will work everywhere (100-240 V). If you’ve got a pin adapter, you can use this in Spain, etc.

出来るだけ何のためにもUSB充電ケーブルを買うことにしてるから、このバッテリーはいろんなおもちゃに使える。例えばソニーのこのPSP-2000。

I tend to get USB chargers for all my gadgets so I can use this battery with most of my stuff. For example, this PSP-2000 from Sony.

También vale para la Nintendo DS lite. La DSi está llorando en un rincón porque su clavija es diferente y no le he encontrado cargador USB todavía. ¿Por qué, Nintendo, por qué? orz

I can also use it for the Nintendo DS lite. The DSi is crying in a corner because she has a different connector and doesn’t have a USB charger yet. Why, Nintendo? Why? orz

¡Y por supuesto las Game Boy! Tengo un cable que me carga las dos a la vez. La Game Boy Advance SP (la de la foto es la retroiluminada) y la Game Boy micro son las únicas que existen con batería recargable.

もちろんゲームボーイにも！両方を同時に充電してくれるケーブルを持ってる。ゲームボーイアドバンスSP（写真のは海外版の明るい方です）とゲームボーイミクロだけには充電式電池がついてる。

And of course, the Game Boys! I’ve got a cable that charges both of them for me. The Game Boy Advance SP (the one on the pic is the “brighter” backlit one) and the Game Boy micro are the only ones with a rechargeable battery.

Ayer dejé de usar mi viejo DoCoMo Mova P506iC y me hice con un iPhone con contrato de Softbank.

昨日、古いドコモのムーバP506iCをやめてソフトバンクと契約してiPhoneにした。

Yesterday I quit my old DoCoMo Mova P506iC cell phone and got myself an iPhone with Softbank.

Cosas que eran mejores en el P506iC:

• La cámara.

Cosas que son mejores en el iPhone:

• Todo lo demás.

Cosas que me sorprendieron gratamente haciendo el contrato:

• Me dan un vale de compra por valor de 5000 yenes, que se puede usar en muchos sitios.
• Me dieron un colgante para el móvil que es el perrito “Padre” de Softbank y habla. Gracias a Dios, no se puede poner en el iPhone.

Cosas que me fastidiaron haciendo el contrato con Softbank:

• Al menos en la tienda donde contraté, el primer mes es obligatorio usar el segundo plan más barato en lugar de el primero, que es el que quería yo.
• También me pusieron un servicio adicional de pago que no se puede quitar hasta el segundo mes.
• No me copiaron los contactos del teléfono viejo al nuevo, parece que lo hacían hasta hace pocas semanas.
• Para copiar los contactos al iPhone necesito un cable de datos para el P506iC y un ordenador con Windows. Lo que yo tengo es una tarjeta miniSD con una copia de mis contactos y un Mac. Ridículo.

P506iCの方でよかった：

• カメラ。

iPhoneの方でよかった：

• カメラ以外全て。

ソフトバンクと契約する時にいい意味で驚いたこと：

• 5000円の商品券をもらえる。
• しゃべる「お父さん」ストラップをもらった。iPhoneには付けられないのはありがたいことだ。

ソフトバンクと契約する時にビックリしたこと：

• 少なくとも僕が契約した店舗でだけど、契約するその1ヶ月目はWホワイトプランを使わないと行けない。一番安いにしたいのに！
• 要らないサービスも他に「セットだから」押し売りされた。そういうのやめて欲しい。
• 連絡先のコピーはしてくれない。最近までしていたらしい。
• 連絡先を自分でコピーするには、P506iCのPC通信ケーブルとウインドウズの入ったパソコンが必要。持ってるのはバックアップが入ってるminiSDカードとマックだけど、どっちも駄目だ。意味不明。

Things that were better at P506iC:

• The camera.

Things better with iPhone:

• Everything else.

Stuff that I did like when contracting Softbank:

• They give me a shopping coupon for 5000 yen.
• They gave me a talking “Father” dog strap which thanks God I can’ attach to the iPhone.

Stuff that I didn’t like when contracting Softbank:

• At least at the shop I got my iPhone at, you can’t choose the most inexpensive plan the first month.
• They also forced me to opt in to a pay service I don’t need at all.
• They didn’t copy my old contacts to the new phone —looks like they were doing it until a few weeks ago.
• To copy the contacts myself, I need a data cable for the P506iC and a computer with Windows. But I have a miniSD card with a backup and a Mac, this is ridiculous.
