Y yo soy un caballero, pero eso no quita que pueda ser bastante gañán cuando tengo la oportunidad. En esta ocasión, mientras cenaba en un restaurante en español hablando en español durante la cena, divisé este otro restaurante desde la ventana.
紳士でありながら、チャンスがあると下品になる。今回はスペイン料理のお店で食べていたら、窓からこの下のレストランが見えてきた。
I’m a gentleman, but I love being dirty whenever I have a good chance. This time I was having a Spanish dinner and speaking Spanish, when I saw through the window the restaurant across the street.
Lo primero que leí fue Polla, pero para mi desesperanza no se trataba de un gazapo ni de una casualidad, sino que era una simple ilusión óptica.
Polla（ポヤ）というのはスペイン語で、女にはなくて男にはある者だ。上品でない言葉だから注意せよ。残念ながら、よく見たら書いてあったのは違う言葉だった。
First I read Polla, what in Spanish means something that men have and women don’t (and it’s not quite a pretty word, so take care when you use it). But I was very sorry to find out it was an optic illusion!
Este restaurante se llama Cipolla, que significa cebolla en italiano. Ya sé que es una chorrada, pero en Japón no tengo tanta gente a la que contarle mis chorradas en español, así que aguantadme un poco. Por cierto, esa noche cenamos muy bien (aunque no fue en el Cipolla).
イタリア語で「タマネギ」の意味を表す「Cipolla」というお店だった。ちょっとがっかり。ということでこういう話はあまり意味がないけど、周りにスペイン語で話す人が少ないからブログにまで書いてしまう。ちなみにCipollaじゃなくてあの夜食べたお店は美味しかった。
This restaurant is called Cipolla, which is Italian for onion. I know this is silly but here in Japan I don’t have many people to talk about my dirty findings so cope a bit with me. By the way we had a great dinner that night, and it wasn’t at Cipolla.
