2016 ha sido el año más feliz de mi vida porque hemos llegado a los 7000 suscriptores. En este Q&A hablo de muchas cosas distintas. ¿Cuál es el tema que más te interesa?

Estas últimas semanas he estado actualizando el blog menos de lo normal porque tenía un pequeño proyecto entre manos. ¿Os acordáis de nombrejapones? Hice este servicio de Twitter para que la gente pudiera consultar fácilmente su nombre en letras japonesas. Pero como me gustó y vi que había interés (en poco tiempo tenía más seguidores que yo en Twitter), no me conformé con eso. Así que hoy hago público un servicio más completo, con más opciones a la hora de transcribir, y que además está conectado con servicios externos como Traducciones Google o el diccionario Hispadic.
ここ何週間、ちょっとしたプロジェクトを進めていてブログの更新を控えめにしてきた。nombrejaponesのこと、覚えてますか？このTwitterサービスを開発したのはスペイン語圏のみんなが名前のカタカナ表記を調べられるためだった。それは好評で（しばらくしたら僕よりTwitterフォロワーが多くなってた）僕も楽しくて、もっと役に立つ物にできるんだろうか？と思って、開発を続けた。結果は、スペインやスペイン語に興味を持っている日本人にでも便利なカタカナ変換サービスなのかもしれない。さらに、Google翻訳や日本語→スペイン語辞書Hispadicというサービスと連動している。
The last weeks I’ve been updating the blog less than usual because I was busy with a little project. Do you remember nombrejapones? I made that Twitter service so that people could search how to write their Spanish names in Japanese characters. Seeing it was a success (it soon had more Twitter followers than myself) and I enjoyed making it too, I decided to make it bigger, with services interesting to Japanese people too. I also had it use external services like Google Translate or the Japanese-Spanish dictionary Hispadic (Spanish translation of EDICT).
Se llama Japoneschan y espero que os guste el personaje. Simboliza el carácter de este servicio que presento, que sabe calcular las transcripciones de forma casi mágica pero no entiende el significado de las palabras (para eso está Traducciones Google). El diseño es de Koga Takahiro, un buen amigo que también se encargó del diseño de Escucha español. ¡Esperamos que os sea útil y que lo paséis bien jugando con él! I think it expresses some traits of the service – he can write Spanish into katakana in an almost magic way, but he isn’t actually understanding what’s written (there’s Google Translate for that). Have you ever wanted to convert a name –or any other Spanish word for that matter– to Japanese characters? You only have to send a tweet to @nombrejapones with your Spanish name, like in the picture below.
Y un ratito después te contestará con tu nombre pronunciado en español y escrito en katakana como puedes ver aquí abajo. @nombrejapones es un bot de Botize que usa un plugin que programé yo anoche para probar la API.

After a while you’ll get a reply with your name (as it reads in Spanish) written in katakana characters like the one you can see below. @nombrejapones is a Botize bot which uses a plugin I programmed last night to try the API.

Ayer en la Kokusai Hiroba de Acros, Magí y yo encontramos esta Guía de Aprendizaje del Idioma Japonés y de la Vida en Japón, un libro gratuito que ha elaborado la Agencia de Asuntos Culturales de Japón para ayudar a los inmigrantes a adaptarse a la vida en Japón. Está disponible en coreano, chino, portugués, castellano e inglés desde el 15 de enero de 2009.
昨日アクロスのこくさいひろばでマジと一緒にこの「日本語学習・生活ハンドブック」を発見した。文化庁が制作して無料で配布している、外国人が日本での生活を楽にするための本です。21年1月15日から韓国・朝鮮語版、中国語版、ポルトガル語版、スペイン語版と英語版があります。
Yesterday at Acros‘s Kokusai Hiroba, Magí and I found this Handbook of Learning Japanese and Life in Japan, a book by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs to help foreign residents with life in Japan. It’s available in Korean, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish and English since January 15, 2009.
Imaginaos mi sorpresa al encontrarme al final del libro un manga inédito de 20 páginas del clásico de la ciencia ficción Leiji Matsumoto (Galaxy Express 999, Capitán Harlock…). El título en español es «Sueño que envuelve el Planeta» aunque yo lo habría traducido como «La tierra envuelta en un sueño».
本の最後の方に松本零士先生（銀河鉄道999、宇宙海賊キャプテーンハーロック等）の新作20ページのまんがが収録されていてビックリした！「夢がつつむ地球」というまんがです。
I was really surprised to find at the end of the book a 20 page previously unpublished manga by classic author Leiji Matsumoto (Galaxy Express 999, Captain Harlock…). I haven’t seen the English translation of the title, but it should be something like «The Earth covered with a dream».
Habla de una chica europea que viene a vivir a Japón, y de que toda la humanidad comparte un sueño y de que no hay fronteras. Aquí abajo tenéis algunas frases que no han quedado muy naturales en la versión en castellano. A lo mejor no tenían a nadie que les validara las traducciones.
ヨーロッパから日本に引っ越した女の子の話です。人類全てが同じ夢を見て、国境がないという話も出てくる。この下の台詞はスペイン語版で少し不自然で面白かった。母国語の人にジョン役の内容を確認してもらえなかったかな。
It’s the story of a European girl who comes to live in Japan, and it also talks about all humanity sharing a dream and there being no frontiers. The dialogs below are slightly unnatural and fun in the Spanish version. Wonder if they didn’t have a proofreader for the translation.
El libro en español se puede descargar en PDF de forma gratuita desde la página de la Agencia (el primer PDF trae todos los capítulos, no necesitas más), y además se permite su libre distribución siempre que sea gratuita. Lamentablemente el cómic no está incluído en el PDF, a pesar de que aparece en el índice. ¡Descarga súper recomendada a todos los que queráis aprender japonés y cómo es la vida en Japón! Y si vives en Japón lo puedes pedir por correo por unos pocos yens, está todo explicado allí.
全ての言語のバージョンはPDFでダウンロード可能だし、無料で配布することも許可されています（自由利用マーク）。残念ながらまんががPDFに含まれていないけど（目次には出てるのに）、日本語と日本での生活に興味がある方におすすめします。少しお金を出せば郵送してもらえるし。
The book in English is available in PDF form at the Agency’s site (the first PDF has all the chapters, you only need that), and they even allow further distribution with the condition that you don’t charge. This is the Agency’s distribution license. Unfortunately the manga isn’t on the PDF (even while you can see it on the index), but it’s still a very worth read for anyone interested in the Japanese language or in life in Japan. Also, if you live in Japan you can order a copy for some yen. Check the info at their site.
