Un amigo nuevo que tengo se dedica al mentaiko (una hueva típica de Fukuoka) y me ha regalado de varios tipos para que le diga qué me parecen. La que más me sorprendió fue la que venía mezclada con queso.

最近友達になった人は明太子屋さんで、感想を聞かせてくれと明太子をいろいろくれた。一番驚いたのは、チーズ明太子。

I have a new friend who works in the mentaiko industry (mentaiko is a marinated roe typical of Fukuoka) and gave me samples of some varieties so I can tell him how I like them. The cheese one surprised me the most.

No pica tanto como el mentaiko normal, así que el sabor de queso suave se deja notar. Yo normalmente me opongo a mezclar el queso con cualquier cosa que venga del mar, pero esto me ha hecho cuestionarme mi política.

普通の辛子明太子ほど辛くないから、クリームチーズみたいな味が分かりやすい。僕は基本的にチーズを海のものと混ぜるのに抵抗するけど、これで姿勢を変えた方がいいかなと思ってきた。

It’s not as spicy as regular mentaiko, so you will certainly feel the mild cheese flavour. I don’t usually like it when people mix up cheese with anything from the sea, but I might have to change my policy after trying this.

Está muy bueno como salsa para espaguetis, pero parece que se puede comer de mil maneras. ¿Cómo te lo comerías tú?

パスタに混ぜてみるともちろん美味しいけど、いろんな食べ方してもいいらしい。あなたならどういう食べ方をする？

It’s very yummy as a pasta sauce, but it looks like you can eat it in many different ways. How would you have this?

一人でお昼食べることが多い。日本では外食も安くつくけど、たまには家で簡単に済ませる。

I have lunch alone quite often. Luckily one can eat out inexpensively in Japan, but sometimes I just have something simple at home.

Las salsas preparadas son bastante baratas en Japón (unos 100 yenes), y no están nada mal. Vienen en un sobre que se calienta al baño maría.

日本のパスタソースは安く（100円ぐらい）て美味しい。お湯に入れて温めるだけだし。

Pre-cooked pasta sauces are cheap in Japan (about ¥100), and they taste quite good. You just have to put the envelope in hot water to warm it up.

Mmm… Carbonara. カルボナーラ！

Pero no solo de cosas precocinadas vive el hombre, así que me hice una sencilla ensalada con lechuga y tomate.

でもレトルト等ばかり食べていられないから、トマトとレタスで簡単なサラダも作っておいた。

But even I can’t have only pre-cooked stuff, so I also made myself a simple salad with a tomato and some lettuce.

Con aceite de oliva arbequina del que nos dio Magí, que está buenísimo.

Esta vez los ingredientes del sofrito son: beicon, cebolla y setas shimeji. La salsa está hecha de mayonesa, dashi, agua y salsa de soja. Y después de servir cada plato le hemos echado katsuobushi.

今日炒めたのは：ベーコン、タマネギとしめじ。ソースはダシ、水、マヨネーズと醤油。そしてお皿に盛ってから鰹節をかけた。

What we fried today: bacon, onion and shimeji mushroom. The sauce is made of dashi, soy sauce, mayonnaise and water. And after serving the dishes, we threw some katsuobushi on them.
