Es un Pokédex en Google Docs en la que escribes los que tienes en cada juego, y te calcula varias cosas. Además, se puede publicar en internet para que tus amigos sepan los que te faltan.

If you are like me, you have several Pokemon games with different monsters in every Pokédex. Maybe you’ll find useful this checklist in Google Docs, where you check the ones you have and it will calculate many things for you. And you can publish it on the web so that your friends know which ones are missing, too.

¿Quieres tener una lista como la mía? Es muy fácil. Solo tienes que descargar el patrón y subirlo a tu cuenta de Google Docs. Podrás llevar la cuenta de tus pokemon de varios cartuchos diferentes, hacer búsquedas, ordenar la lista a tu gusto, y compartir tu Pokédex por internet.

El otro día, gracias a un amigo al que se le ocurrió que pasáramos por una tienda de segunda mano (Manga Soko), pude comprar la Game Boy más bonita que he conseguido hasta ahora.

The other day a friend told me “let’s check this shop” and there I got the most beautiful Game Boy I’ve ever had.

Se trata de la Game Boy Light Pikachu Yellow, una edición limitada que salió en 1998 celebrando una película de Pokémon y solo se vendió en el Pokemon Center de Tokio, que era el único que había entonces. Ahora hay cinco tiendas en Japón, y una la tengo en Canal City en Fukuoka.

ゲームボーイライトのピカチューイエローは1998年に出た映画か記念限定版だ。ポケモンセンター東京でしか買えなかった。その頃は東京にしかポケモンセンターがなかったけど、今は全国で5店舗があって、その中の1店舗が福岡のキャなるシティーにある。

It’s a Game Boy Pikachu Yellow, a limited edition that came out in 1998 celebrating a Pokémon movie, and could be acquired only in Tokyo’s Pokemon Center. Actually, there was only this Pokemon Center back then. Now there are 5 shops in Japan, one of them here in Fukuoka’s Canal City.

La Game Boy Light solo se vendió en Japón, y se vendió poco porque en seguida sacaron la Color (que no tenía luz). Ahora sigue sin ser muy fácil encontrar una Game Boy Light barata, y es muy raro encontrar una de las ediciones limitadas. Esta está en perfecto estado de conservación y me costó solo 780 yenes. Me sentí el hombre más afortunado de la tienda.

ゲームボーイライトは日本でしか発売されなかった上、すぐにゲームボーイカラーが出てきてあまり売れなかった。ゲームボーイカラーにはライトがないのに。今でも安いゲームボーイライトがそんなに見かけないし、限定版が普通に見あたらない。この完璧な状態の新品みたいな本体が、たった780円で手に入った。これこそお宝発見！

The Game Boy Light went for sale only in Japan, and it was obsoleted too soon with the Game Boy Color (which didn’t have a light). It’s not easy to get an unexpensive Game Boy Light even now, and the limited editions are very rare. This one is in a perfect state of conservation and was mine for only 780 yen. I felt like the luckiest guy in the shop.

No solo el cuerpo es amarillo, que es mi color favorito para cosas de plástico, sino que tiene dibujitos de varios pokémon por ahí. Las letras de abajo no me gustan tanto, pero tampoco me voy a quejar después de 10 años.

ボディーが僕の好きな黄色でけではなく、ポケモンの絵も描いてある。下の文字は要らなかったけど、10年後文句を言っても意味がないだろう。

Not only the body is yellow – my favorite color for plastic stuff – but it also has pokémon pictures on it. I feel the big text down there wasn’t needed, but I guess after 10 years it’s to late to complain.

Pero lo mejor de todo es que la luz que indica lo que les queda a las pilas es la mejilla eléctrica de Pikachu. ¡Un detalle precioso!

でも一番かわいいのは、電池のライトがピカチューのエレキほっぺたであること。素敵！

But the best of all is, the battery LED is Pikachu’s electric cheek. So lovely!
