Cafe del Candy es ahora mismo el mejor restaurante español que conocemos en Fukuoka. Tampoco hemos ido a todos los que hay, pero este no está nada mal.
カフェデルキャンディは知ってる中で福岡の一番いいスペイン料理のお店。福岡にあるのは全部回ってないけどここは全然悪くない。
Cafe del Candy is the best Spanish restaurant we know in Fukuoka right now. We haven’t went to that many, but this one’s not bad at all.
La tortilla de patatas viene con alioli y hierbas por encima. En España te la sirven normalmente sola, pero también es verdad que en España no dan tortilla en restaurantes sino normalmente solo en bares, cafeterías y sitios de menú del día. Ya que aquí están sirviendo tortilla en un restaurante, les dejaremos que se tomen unas licencias. Por supuesto, gustó tanto a nuestro equipo español como al japonés.
ジャガイモオムレツはアリオリ（ニンニクとオリーブオイルを使ったマヨネーズに似たもの）とハーブが付いてた。スペインでは何のソースも付かないけど、レストランで出るような料理じゃないし、あえてレストランで出してるんだからちょっときれいにしてもいいね。スペイン人チームも日本人チームも美味しいと言ってた。
Spanish omelet in this place comes with aioli, a sauce similar to mayonnaise, and some herbs. Both our Japanese team and our Spanish team but in Spain you don’t usually get it with a sauce. However it’s not a speciality restaurants would offer (it’s more of a snack) so it’s OK if a restaurant wants to arrange it a bit.
Las gambas al ajillo (y los champiñones, que eran muy parecidos) eran más o menos lo que nos esperábamos. Nadie se cansó de mojar pan.
海老のニンニク焼きはうまかった。油にパンをつけたら凄く美味しかった！
Garlic shrimp (and the very similar garlic mushrooms) were very good, and we couldn’t get enough of dipping bread in the tasty oil.
Patatas bravas. Esta vez no muy diferentes de las que te darían en un bar. Puede que lo de la tortilla fuera porque a algunos extranjeros (japoneses) la tortilla sin nada les puede parecer “desnuda” pero las patatas bravas, como ya llevan salsa, se han quedado igual que estaban.
辛いソースのフライドポテト。スペインのバーの美味しさ。オムレツと違ってアレンジされてないのは、多分オムレツを「裸」で出したくなかったからなのかな（そのままで美味しいのに）。
Spicy potatoes. Not very different from the ones you’d get at a Spanish bar. Maybe they don’t want to serve the omelet “naked” (though thatt’s general and equally yummy), but they are OK with these potatoes because the original comes with a sauce too.
La única paella que parecía ser de carne era el arroz con costra, pero nos sorprendió porque a pesar de venir en una cazuela en vez de en una sartén (paella) el huevo no estaba muy hecho, con lo que ni paella ni arroz con costra.
パエリア（本当は「パエヤ」）のメニューの中から唯一肉入ってそうなやつを頼んでみた。アロス・コン・コストラって普通は肉と野菜が具で、玉子とじみたいな感じでオムライスっぽくなるはずだが、まずご飯がフライパンじゃなくてお鍋だった。アロス・コン・コストラをお鍋で作ることもあるけど、玉子がほぼ生のままで出すと何のためにお鍋にしたか不明。ちなみにパエヤってフライパンという意味です。
The only paella that looked like it should have meat was arroz con costra, but while it didn’t come in a frying pan (what we call a paella), the egg wasn’t well cooked. So it wasn’t exactly paella or arroz con costra.
Y lo peor es que llevaba (y olía a) pescado, con lo que Magí se quedó sin probarla. Esto ya era cualquier cosa menos arroz con costra, pero malo no estaba tampoco. Aunque me deja bastante a medias que no haya ni una paella de carne, porque son las que más me gustan. Por otro lado, el ambiente del restaurante está muy bien (podéis ver fotos en el blog de Takahin) y es bastante recomendable como restaurante español en Japón. さらに具も匂いも魚介類で、マジが食べれなかった。全然アロス・コン・コストラじゃなくないですか。どんぶり物みたいな感じで美味しかったけど、お店にお肉のパエヤのメニューがないのはちょっと寂しい。一番好きなのに。一方、お店の雰囲気がとても良くて（たかひんのブログに写真あり）おすすめ出来るお店です。下記は住所と地図へのリンクです。
The whole thing was smelling like it had a lot of fish (which it had) so Magí didn’t have any of it. Definitely not arroz con costra, but not bad either. It feels a bit incomplete that no rice dish in their menu is a meat paella, as they are the ones we like best.
