Me imagino que muchos habéis oído hablar de los onsen, manantiales o baños de aguas termales. Por todo Japón hay balnearios en los que se puede disfrutar de estas aguas. Cuando estuvimos en Beppu visitamos algunos de ellos, ya que es una zona muy famosa, y hoy voy a explicar con fotos el procedimiento para bañarse en estos baños. A menudo son baños colectivos, por lo que es importante seguir unas sencillas reglas.
皆さん「温泉」がどういう物かご存知ですよね。別府に行ったとき、もちろん別府温泉に入ってきました。これからは僕が知っている正しい温泉の入り方を皆さんに説明してみます。
You might have heard about onsen, Japan’s old school spas. One can enjoy them all around Japan, and when we went to Beppu we had some baths there (it’s a well known onsen zone). Onsen are often common baths, so one has to follow a few simple rules.
Antes de entrar en la bañera hay que darse una buena ducha. El agua es de todos, así que hay que entrar limpio. La toallita se puede usar como esponja.
お湯はみんなのだから、入る前に体をよく洗いましょう。タオルは体を洗うのにも使えます。
Onsen water is for everyone, so we have to keep it clean. Before going into the bath, you have to take a shower. You might use your towel to wash yourself.
En realidad, no está bien meter la toalla en el agua común (aquí lo hago porque el agua era solo para nosotros dos, y porque la foto queda mucho mejor así). Y tampoco es necesario poner esta cara, pero es bastante placentero.
本当はタオルをお湯に入れてはいけないけど、お風呂は貸し切りだったし、タオルを付けていなければいい写真にはならなかったと思います。あの顔はしなくてもいいですが、してみると気持ちいいかもしれません。
It’s not OK for the towel to go into everybody’s water, but this time the bath was just for the two of us, and I feel the picture looks a lot better this way.
Para cambiar un poco de aires (o aguas), a veces hay una bañera separada con agua fría. Es bueno para la circulación.
Y al final, te echas un poco de agua por encima y vuelves al vestuario. Muchas veces uno se seca con la misma toalla que ha mojado en el baño: la escurres y te secas. Aunque también se puede usar una toalla grande.
水風呂がある温泉もたまにあって、気分転換にいいかもしれません。熱いお風呂と交互に入ると血行をよくするらしいです。
それで最後は体をもう一回軽く洗ってから出ます。最初は信じられませんでしたが、体を洗ったタオルを絞ってそれで体を拭くのです。バスタオルを使う人が多いと思いますが、僕はこうしてます。
Sometimes there is a cold water bath, in case you’d want to switch. Looks like it’s good for circulation.
And when you’re finished, just have a little shower and go back to the locker room. It’s particular that many people dry themselves with the same towel they used for washing your body: you can just squeeze it and use it again. Of course, you can also use a bath towel for that.
