Ha salido el nuevo disco de YMCK y se llama Family Cooking. YMCK es un grupo de chiptune con el que pepino ha tocado en Nueva York y con el que hemos salido en un recopilatorio. Todas las canciones de este disco van sobre comida y cocinar, lo que me parece una idea estupenda y está muy bien llevado a cabo. Además salgo yo diciendo una frase en una de las canciones. ¿Alguien se había dado cuenta? ¿Y quién serán los demás que se escuchan ahí? ¡Muchas gracias Sr. Yokemura por llamarme para salir en una canción de YMCK!

YMCKの新アルバム出た！その名は「ファミリークッキング」。YMCKはチップチューンバンドで、ペピーノも一緒にニューヨークでライブしたことあり、オムニバスにも一緒に収録されたこともある。このアルバムの全ての曲は料理とか食べ物の話というのはいい発想だと思うし、できもさすがに良い！おまけに僕の声も入っている。一言だけだけど、誰か気付いたのかな？そしてそのパートの他のみんなは誰でしょうか？YMCKの曲に出る機会をいただいて、除村さんに感謝しています！

The new YMCK album is out and it’s called Family Cooking. YMCK is a chiptune band that pepino has played together with in New York City, and we’ve also been together in a compilation. All the songs in this album are about cooking or food and I think that’s a great idea. It’s very well crafted too. Also, you can hear me in one of the songs. It’s only one phrase, but did anybody notice? And who can be the other people there? Thanks a lot to Mr. Yokemura for contacting me for being on a YMCK song!

Chimo Bayo y Juliana’s Tokyo — JULIANA東京のチモ・バヨ

El otro día encontré un disco que he estado buscando mucho tiempo, aunque sin ninguna prisa. Es un recopilatorio japonés de 1994 que contiene un tema de Chimo Bayo.

ずっと探していたCDがこの間手に入りました。チモ・バヨの曲を収録したavexのオムニバスです。

I recently found a CD I had been patiently looking for for a long time. It’s a Japanese compilation with a Chimo Bayo track on it.

Antes de que empiece a sonar La tía Enriqueta en este disco, hay un interesante juego de «¡húa!» y «¡hu-ha!» (los típicos gritos de Chimo) a la vez que una explicación por parte del DJ de que este es el señor que hizo el jit Bombas. Y aquí abajo os dejo traducido un interesante párrafo sobre la canción que encontré en el librito del CD, y que nos puede resumir quién fue Chimo en el Japón de la época.

「ラ・ティア・エンリケタ」というチモの曲が始まる直前に、「フーア！」と「フッハー！」といういつものチモの声が聞こえている間、DJがチモの事を説明する（「ボンバス」0というヒット曲の持ち主だという事）。また、下記はCDについていた歌詞カードに書いてあった説明文。これを読んでもらえば当時の日本でのチモの印象が解るかな。

Before La tía Enriqueta starts, there’s an interesting sequence of «whooa!» and «whoo-ha!» (Chimo’s warcry), while the DJ explains this is the guy from the hit single Bombas. And below is a translation of the mini-review that can be found at the CD’s booklet. I guess by reading this we can know what Japan felt about Chimo at that time.

Después de palabras clave como «exta sí» o «bombas», el alegre latino cabrón Chimo Bayo vuelve con un tema de título inesperadamente largo. Su estilo conserva el sonido latino en una atmósfera que es la lógica conclusión de sus trabajos anteriores. Aun sin tantos BPM, los atractivos arreglos de alguna manera nos hacen sentir velocidad.

『エクスタシー』『ボンバス』に続くキーワードは・・・意外にも長いタイトルで登場したスペインの陽気なラテン野郎CHIMO BAYO。基本的なスタイルはこれまでのラテン系の音をフィーチャーしたものであり、前作同様の延長線上といった雰囲気。それほど早いBPMではないが、どこかスピード感を感じさせる不思議なアレンジが魅力。

After the keywords «exta sí» or «bombas», happy latin rascal Chimo Bayo is back with an unexpectedly long song title. His stile keeps the latin sound as a logical conclusion to his previous works. Without BPM being that high, the arrangements make us feel speed somewhere.
