Poner azúcar al café コーヒーに砂糖を

Muchos españoles que conozco no han sabido qué hacer en Japón con un café y todo lo que lo acompaña.

日本まで遊びに来てくれたスペイン人の中にはコーヒーの砂糖などで何が何か分からなかった人が多い。

Many Spanish friends that come to Japan find it confusing to put sugar into their coffee in Japan

Este sobre de papel alargado es el azúcar, puede que lo más fácil de localizar.

この棒は砂糖。一番分かり易いかな。

This paper stick is sugar. Probably the easiest of the bunch.

Luego tenemos dos pequeñas tarrinas diferentes. La transparente es el gum syrup o azúcar líquido, que viene mezclado con goma arábiga para darle viscosidad. Se usa para edulcorar las bebidas frías, en las que es difícil disolver el azúcar normal.

次は二つの小物。透明のやつはガムシロップ。砂糖と水が粘着性のためにアラビアガムと混ざってる。普通の砂糖が解けない冷たい飲料を甘くするのに使う。

Then there’s these two different thingies. The transparent one is gum syrup, and has sugar mixed with water and gum arabic for viscosity. Use it to sweeten cold drinks where regular sugar won’t work.

Y por último el recipiente opaco y estriado es la nata, que también se usa en España pero hay que tener cuidado de no confundirla con el gum syrup.

そして白くてでこぼこのやつはミルク。スペインにも同じやつを使うけど、ガムシロップと間違えやすいかもしれなう。

And here’s your regular milk for coffee, white and striped. We have this one in Spain too, but must be careful not to mistake gum syrup for it.

Bueno, y para acabar os voy a decir que yo no tomo café y el té me lo suelo tomar a palo seco. ¡Pero hay que estar al loro!

ここまで言っておきながら、自分はコーヒーを飲まない。更に紅茶はストレート。でも知らなくちゃ損！

All this said, I don’t even drink coffee and I have my tea straight. But one has to know some stuff, right?

Máquina de bebidas a 31 céntimos — 50円の飲料販売機

¡Café, té, zumos y refrescos frescos a partir de 50 yenes! Eso son 31 céntimos de euro. Los precios normales de las máquinas expendedoras de bebidas suelen ser a partir de 120 yenes, pero tampoco son raras las máquinas con bebidas a partir de 80 yenes.

コーヒー、お茶、ジュースなどは50円から？80円からの販売機ならたまに見かけるけど、これは初めて。ちなみに、スペインの販売機は基本的に高い。

Coffee, tea and soft drinks for 50 yen! They are usually around 120 yen, although there are 80 yen machines occasionally.

Varias veces ha dicho Kirai que en Japón no te cobran más en una máquina de bebidas por estar por estar en un sitio interesante o remoto, como sí que ocurre en España, donde cualquier excusa vale para subir los precios de estas maquinas. Lo que no sabíamos es que en el culo de Japón puedes parar con el coche y encontrar máquinas baratísimas. Es una situación exactamente opuesta a la de España.

スペインの便利なところにある販売機（例えば海の浜）は3〜4倍したりするけど、日本では値段がどこでも一緒というのはいいことだと思う。また、離れたところにこんなに安いのがあるとは思っても見なかった。

In Spain, drink vending machine prices get very expensive at desirable places (i.e. the beach) but, as it has been often noted by Kirai, this doen’t happen in Japan. However I wouldn’t have picture I’d see the opposite: a very cheap vending machine in the middle of nothing.
