Al final sí hubo hanami

A bit late, but we managed to go hanami last Sunday. Lots of pictures ahead.

Comeflores con cerezo (sakura) —

The Sunday following Twittok we met Hector for a little walk by Yoyogi Park before flying back to Fukuoka. Only a pair of cherry trees were blossoming.

He took with my camera some pictures of us eating flowers. These are really well taken pictures—we can’t look prettier than this because we aren’t. Thank you Hector!

Más hanami — 花見の写真 — More hanami

These are some pictures my co-workers took when we went to hanami.

Hanami — 花見

Last Thursday I went out for hanami with all my co-workers. It’s about eating and drinking at a park watching the cherry blossoms.

hanami

We were lucky to go hanami for lunch. The park was quiet, and it wasn’t cold at all.

Around 20 people were needed to eat all of this. There was also a lot of booze, of course.

This park is beautiful, and it’s kind of near here, but it’s not on my way to anywhere so it was the first time I went there.

Cerezo en flor (sakura) — 桜が咲いた — cherry blooms

Yesterday we came to Hofu (Yamaguchi prefecture) in the evening, after work, to pay a visit to Ai’s family. The trip was long (4 hours and a half, including one stop for supper) so poor Ai ended up very tired, after driving all the way.

In Fukuoka, I don’t quite have time to check if the cherry trees have blossomed or not, but here I’ve seen there are some which have, and some which still haven’t. I’m sure next week We’ll have a chance to get drunk under the cherry blossoms, in the ancestral rite that is called hanami.
