El domingo después de Twittok quedamos con Héctor para hablar un ratito antes de coger el avión, y aprovechamos para dar un pequeño paseo por el Parque Yoyogi, donde había un par de cerezos que ya tenían flores.
The Sunday following Twittok we met Hector for a little walk by Yoyogi Park before flying back to Fukuoka. Only a pair of cherry trees were blossoming.

El sábado participamos en Tokio en un encuentro entre españoles, japoneses y gente de otras variadas nacionalidades. Se llamó Twittok, y lo organizaron Antonio Delgado y UnGatoNipon.
On Saturday we were in Tokyo at a meetup with people from Spain, Japan, and some other countries. The name was Twittok, and it was organized by Antonio Delgado y UnGatoNipon.

Estamos muy contentos de haber conocido a un montón de gente interesante y de haber visto a viejos amigos. Fue una pena que algunos no pudieran venir. El ambiente era muy especial.
We were happy to meet a lot of interesting people and some old friends. It’s a pity that some people weren’t able to show up. The ambient was very unique.
Cuando el poeta, investigador y político Sugawara no Michizane falleció en Dazaifu en el año 903, pensaron enterrarlo en la capital. Pero el buey que tiraba del carro que lo llevaba se paró a las afueras de Dazaifu y no hubo quien lo moviera, así que decidieron enterrarlo allí interpretando que tal era su último deseo expresado a través del buey.
When poet, scholar and politician Sugawara no Michizane died in Dazaifu in year 903, they were planning to have him buried in the capital. But the cow that was pulling the car that was transporting the body sat down just after leaving the town, and they decided to bury him there, interpreting the cow’s behavior as the master’s last wish.
Su tumba se ha convertido en el Dazaifu Tenmangu (ahora sus ciruelos están en flor) uno de los templos sintoístas más importantes de la Isla de Kyushu cuyo símbolo es un buey. A mí me recuerda al Torico de Teruel.
His tomb has become Dazaifu Tenmangu (its plum trees are blossoming right now), one of the most important Shinto shrines in Kyushu Island. Its symbol is this sitting cow. It reminds me of a certain Spanish monument.
A muchos extranjeros nos llama mucho la atención que los japoneses, normalmente tan elegantes, se duerman en cualquier parte sin preocuparse de nada, y por internet circulan muchas fotos de japoneses durmiendo. Lo que parece que no sorprende tanto a los japoneses son los españoles durmiendo en el tren.
Most foreigners are amazed at the ability the Japanese have for sleeping anywhere, anytime. Of course, there are a lot of pictures of sleeping Japanese people on the internet. But the Japanese don’t seem to be that surprised about Spaniards sleeping in their trains.

Este fin de semana he estado en Tokio, y lo primero que quiero compartir con vosotros son estas fotos. Este es un avión de la JAL bastante viejo. Las pocas pantallas que había no eran LCD.
I went to Tokyo last weekend, and the first thing I’m publishing is these pictures. Here’s one of JAL’s planes. The few screens weren’t LCD, so it must be a quite old plane.
