昨日、たくさんの人がごった返す巨大ショッピングモールで、なんとかかわいいクリスマスケーキを手に入れました。（何かと理由をつけて甘いものを食べようとする私なのでした）そして、アレハンドロの家族がスペインから送ってくれた、クリスマスにはかかせないスペインのお菓子、トゥロンを並べ、ご満悦な私たちです。

Ayer era Nochebuena y fuimos a un centro comercial gigante lleno de gente. Nos costó un poco, pero al final pudimos comprar una bonita tarta de Navidad. En Japón existe la costumbre de comerse la tarta de Navidad en Nochebuena pero, aunque yo me esperaba una tarta especial, en realidad cualquier tarta que te comas en Nochebuena valida automáticamente como ‘tarta de Navidad’.
Como también teníamos el turrón y guirlaches que nos habían mandado mis padres, acabamos completamente satisfechos.
Y una cosa más: ¡hoy hemos trabajado los dos! En Japón no es fiesta.

Yesterday we went to a huge shopping Mall in order to find a cake we could eat for Christmas Eve. The Japanese are used to having the «Christmas cake», which is actually any cake they have on Christmas Eve. Maybe it’s only in Spain that we don’t have this?
We also had the turrón my parents sent us, which is a typical Spanish Christmas almond-based sweet, so we were completely satisfied last night.
And just one more thing — we were both working today! It’s not a holiday in Japan.

En la foto se ve el salón bastante desordenado, pero en realidad hemos podido acabar un año entero en esta casa y estamos muy contentos porque ha sido un año fetén.
Al final de la noche, le canté a Ai un supuesto villancico que le había preparado, pero la verdad es que la letra la había escrito esa misma mañana y no me la sabía. Peso neto de mi regalo: 1 minuto 26 segundos.
A mí me regaló un jersey lila que mola un montón y lo llevo puesto ahora mismo (no es el que sale en la foto).

On the pic you can see our living room isn’t quite tidy. But we’re happy to have finished a whole year at this new home. And it has been a great year, too!
At the end of the night, I sang a Christmas song I had written for Ai, but I still can’t remember the lyrics very well because I wrote them the same morning. Nett weight: 1 minute, 26 seconds.
And I got a very cute purple sweater from Ai, which I’m wearing right now (not on the picture).
