Mucha gente habla de años de perro de una manera que me parece incorrecta. Se dice que un año de perro son 7 años humanos. Y más que la proporción de años o lo lineal o no de la relación, me preocupan los nombres que se dan a las cosas. En este diagrama intento expresar lo ilógico de la situación. ¿Encuentras algo ilógico?
「犬の年」の話になると、こういう話を聞くことが多い：人間の1年は犬の7年。これは間違っていると思う。気になるのは関係の比率でも一次関数かどうかでもない。物に与えられる名前が気になる。下の表で表現してみた。何か理論的でないことがありませんか？
Many people talk about dog years in a way that sounds incorrect to me. It is said that a dog year is the same as seven human years. El problema está en llamar «año de perro» a un año de 365 días, y llamar «año humano» a dos cosas diferentes. Se debería llamar años de perro a los cortos, los que duran la séptima parte de un año humano.
問題は365日の1年を「犬の1年」とでも言うことと、異なる2つのことを「人間の1年」ということだ。「犬の年」とは、1年の7分の1のことを呼びましょう。
The problem is at calling «a dog year» a regular 365 days year and calling two different things «a human year». What we should call a dog year is 1/7 of a year.
