Yamaguchi Mini Maker Faire 2013: Exponiendo 出展編

El fin de semana pasado estuve en YCAM (Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media) en la Yamaguchi Mini Maker Faire, una feria de gente que hace cosas organizada por los editores de la revista Make: en Japón, O’Reilly Japan (por cierto, fue una sorpresa que estuviera el jefe de la editorial y poder hablar con él). Yo estaba a cargo del stand de Studio Kura, donde doy clases de Processing, Arduino y electrónica a niños japoneses. Esta es la pinta que tenía el stand.

先週末、YCAM（山口情報芸術センター）で行われたヤマグチ・ミニ・メイカー・フェアに行ってきました。Make:という雑誌を出しているO’Reilly Japanが開催する、物を作る人たちが集まるお祭りみたいなイベントです。ちなみに、O’Reilly Japanの社長がいて、お話しできて、とても驚きました！この下の写真はProcessing、Arduinoと電子回路のことを子供に教えるStudio Kura電子工作室のブースの様子です。

Exposición de Joohee Yang チュヒ・ヤン展覧会

Este fin de semana fue la exposición «A growing point: Tiny Chaos» de Joohee Yang, la artista coreana que estuvo viviendo y creando un mes en Studio Kura, muy cerca de nuestra casa. Se proyectaron sus fotografías y se podía visitar una instalación que hizo en el interior de uno de los dos graneros (kura) que dan nombre al lugar.

先週末、家の近くのスタジオ・クラで1ヶ月生活と製作を続けた韓国人のチュヒ・ヤンさんの展覧会「A growing point: Tiny Chaos」のオープニングパーティに参加しました。写真の上映があって、インスタレーションも楽しむことができました。

Last weekend, Korean artist Joohee Yang’s exhibition «A growing point: Tiny Chaos» was held at Studio Kura, very near our house. Her photographs were projected and one could also visit the installation she made inside one of the cellars (kura) that name the place.

Para la instalación usó cemento, un material con el que ella suele trabajar, y bambú, un material muy presente en el entorno de Studio Kura. La atmósfera que creó dentro del granero me pareció muy cálida e inspiradora.

チュヒ・ヤンさんのインスタレーションとは、いつも使っているセメントと、この地域で良く取れる素材の竹を使って蔵の中を作品にしました。出来上がった雰囲気は温かく、刺激的と感じました。

For the installation she used cement –a material she is very used to– and bamboo –a material widely available in this zone. The atmosphere she tailored in there felt warm and inspiring to me.

La inauguración fue muy divertida y se reunió bastante gente interesante. A la izquierda en la foto de arriba, la artista Joohee Yang. Y a la derecha el organizador, nuestro amigo Hirofumi Matsuzaki.

パーティは楽しかったし、面白い人がいっぱい集まった。上の写真の左側は作者のチュヒ・ヤンさんで、右側は主催者の松崎さん。

The party was fun and many interesting people were there. In the picture above you can see the artist Joohee Yang on the left, and the organizer Hirofumi Matsuzaki on the right.

Como siempre la comida fue espectacular. Hubo una sopa de jabalí buenísima hecha por la madre de Hirofumi y también jeon, unas tortitas coreanas con verdura muy buenas.

食べ物はいつも通り上手かった。松崎さんのお母さんが作ったイノシシの肉を使った豚汁「しし汁」が美味しかったし、韓国料理のチヂミも上手かった。

Food was epic as always. There was this delicious wild boar soup Hirofumi’s mother made, and also jeon –Korean pancakes with vegetables.

Performance de Shintaro Miyazaki 宮崎晋太郎パフォーマンス

Después de nuestro concierto, Shintaro Miyazaki hizo una performance de ruiditos.

僕達のライブの後、宮崎晋太郎さんはノイズのパフォーマンスをやった。

After our concert, Shintaro Miyazaki did a noise performance.

Consistía en escuchar las ondas electromagnéticas que emiten algunos objetos cotidianos, desde un reloj hasta una cámara digital. Estas ondas electromagnéticas normalmente no se pueden escuchar, pero Shintaro las convertía en ondas sonoras y pudimos disfrutar de un nuevo paisaje sonoro. ¡Nos gustó mucho a todos! Realmente sorprendente.

パフォーマンスの内容は、日常的な物が放つ電磁波を聴くこと。時計からデジカメまで何でも電波を放ってるみたい。電磁波はそのまま耳で聞けないけど、音波に変換してくれる晋太郎さんのおかげで新しい音がいっぱい聞けた。みんな面白かったみたい。とても新鮮だった！

It consisted in listening to the electromagnetic waves that common objects emit, from watches to digital cameras. These electromagnetic waves can’t usually be listened to, but Shintaro converted them to sound waves so we were able to enjoy a new soundscape. Everyone loved this performance! Very fresh.

Shih Yun Yeo: 408 hours in Itoshima シーユン・イェオ糸島四百八時間

El sábado estuvimos en Studio Kura porque se inauguraba una exposición de la artista de Singapur Shih Yun Yeo. Aquí está con el organizador, Hirofumi. Y aquí abajo tenéis fotos de las obras, que por supuesto en persona molan mucho más.

土曜日はStudio Kuraでシンガポール人アーティストシーユン・イェオ氏の展覧会のオープニングパーティに行ってきました。この上の写真には主催者の松崎さんと一緒に写っている。下記は作品の写真です。実物を見た方が凄い迫力があるんですよ。

Last Saturday we went to Studio Kura for an opening party. An exhibition from Singaporean artist Shih Yun Yeo was starting. Here she is with the organizer, Hirofumi. And below are pictures of her works, which of course look a lot better than in photograph.

Me pareció muy interesante cómo expresa el cambio, el movimiento y el tiempo, sobre todo con esas herramientas tan poco convencionales y habiendo hecho todo en 408 horas en Itoshima. Podréis disfrutar de las obras de Shih Yun Yeo si venís el domingo al concierto de pepino en Studio Kura. Y la fiesta de la inauguración estuvo muy bien, ¡conocimos a un montón de gente interesante!

変化・移動・時間を表現するところが面白いと思ったし、使う道具も興味深いし、全てを糸島で408時間をかけて作ったのも凄いと思います。もし今度の日曜日のStudio Kuraでのpepinoのライブに来てくれたらシーユン・イェオさんの作品も見ることができます。オープニングパーティも楽しかった！面白い出会いもいっぱいありました。ありがとうございます！

I found very interesting how she expresses change, movement and time. As well as the tools she used and the fact that she made everything in 408 hours in Itoshima. You can enjoy Shih Yun yeo’s art if you come to the pepino live concert next Sunday in Studio Kura. And the party was great too. We got to meet a lot of interesting people!
