Daisy is the princess of Super Mario Land. Super Mario Land has no Luigi. I first heard of this in yesterday’s comments but when did they start making out? Any plans for a wedding?

Guess Wario and Yoshi (two reader favorites) were in the first series. These chocolate eggs are from the second series. And I can’t understand either why Diddy Kong is here.

Takahin and other friends gave us these chocolate eggs which look like Kinder Surprise but the toys are figures of characters from Super Mario. Thank you!

And how are the figures? Quite cute. I’ll post pictures tomorrow. So what Super Mario character would you like to get?

Cosas para picar en el coche

I’m leaving to Madrid with zon7 right now. He’s working tomorrow, and I’m leaving to Japan from Madrid in the morning. So I bought these snacks for the car (it takes 4 hours). What would you have got?

Self-warming drink

At Bilbao I got myself a drink that I have never seen in Japan. It’s a cup of hot chocolate, but it’s the cup what gets hot itself in 40 seconds using a chemical reaction with calcium chloride and water. I don’t think it’s anything new, but I was surprised.

It was 1.90 EUR (normal in Spain for a drink to take away) and there were coffee and tea, too. The chocolate was real Spanish hot chocolate, thicker than cocoa like Cola Cao or Van Houten.

I guess they don’t need these self-warming disposable cups in Japan since they have hot drinks vending machines and lots of konbini selling them 24/7, but when it gets cold it must be nice to have a cup warming your hands even when you’ve finished your drink.

San Valentín 2008 —

In Japan they celebrate Valentine’s Day in a very particular way: girls give chocolate to boys. And not only to «the boy they like» but also to men in their family, school and workplace. As a sample of what one can get, here are pictures of some stuff I got today.

Cat-shaped cookies and hand made cookies. Delicious!
