Porteño in Fukuoka is the most Argentinian restaurant I’ve ever been at. Last Saturday Ai and I had supper there.

Looks like the most popular dishes are empanadas, chorizos and milanesa napolitana. I love them all.

Ready to eat empanada. Well, I had actually started having it.

You put as much chimichurri as you like in your empanada, as it’s quite spocy. Made of oil, vinegar, parsley, garlic and what more.

The palmito salada has heart of palm, avocado and tomato. We like it as much as to order it every single time we come here.

It was oir first time having chorizo con arroz. It’s a simple and effective dish.

Suprema papa frita. Suprema is breaded chicken while milanesa is breaded beef.

Mario is not only a great cook but a very nice guy too. He always sits down by our table for a while and we talk about stuff. When we go to Porteño we go to our friend’s place. If you go, greet them for us. Of course I’ve already told him he looks like Nintendo’s Mario with those overalls.

Daisy is the princess of Super Mario Land. Super Mario Land has no Luigi. I first heard of this in yesterday’s comments but when did they start making out? Any plans for a wedding?

Guess Wario and Yoshi (two reader favorites) were in the first series. These chocolate eggs are from the second series. And I can’t understand either why Diddy Kong is here.

Error en Wario Land

The other day I was playing the first Wario Land (Super Mario Land 3) on my Game Boy and got this impossible screen. I still don’t know why it happened and I was able to continue playing normally, but do you know what is the impossible spot in this picture? The answer is below.

What’s weird is, the door is open but the key is still there. Usually the key disappears when you open the door, but this time the door was already open when I got there with the key. At least the treasure hadn’t been stolen! The first reader to leave a comment with the right answer was miguel. Thank you!

La placa del Super Game Boy

Did you know about the Super Game Boy? It lets you play Game Boy games on the Super Famicom, except for «Color only» and Advance ones. When you use it, you’re playing a game inside a game. And it’s no emulator, since it has a Game Boy CPU inside.

But not all love stories have a happy end. I had to break the Super Game Boy’s carapace in order to see its circuit board and its Game Boy cartridge connector. It’s a pity I didn’t have a suitable driver. By the way, I put the Game Boy game there after I was done breaking.

Here’s a picture of the circuit board for whoever would need it. I recently searched the internets for one but found none.

Most interesting is, the Super Game Boy still works after breaking it and stripping it open. Below it’s having a good time with good old friend Mario’s Picross. And you can also see the mischievous mouse’s doing.

¡chicas jugando a la famicom en 2006!
