Esta semana me he encontrado con la demo de un juego bastante sorprendente de Nintendo DS: Ivy the Kiwi de Prope.

This week I found a demo of a surprising Nintendo DS game: Prope’s Ivy the Kiwi.
Es un kiwi (el pollito, no la fruta) que va caminando solo y tiene que encontrar la salida.
このキウイ（果物じゃなくて鳥の方）は勝手に歩いていて出口を見つけたいらしい。
It’s a kiwi (the bird, not the fruit) that walks on his own and wants to reach the exit.
Para ayudarlo podemos trazar hasta 3 líneas simultáneas. Se pueden estirar como un arco y más cositas, así que las mecánicas molan bastante.
助けるにはツタを同時に3本まで描ける。弓のように引いたり等できてシステムが面白い。
To help him, you can draw up to three lines at once. You can pull them like a bow and other stuff so the mechanics are fun enough.
Con enemigos, cositas para coleccionar y muchas pantallas puede ser entretenido. Pero no deja de parecerme un juego de móvil (en realidad salió primero para Windows Mobile) y creo que pegaría más en la DSi Store que en un cartucho de DS. Aunque el estilo artístico con una gama otoñal de marrones es muy original si lo comparamos con los juegos japoneses de ahora.
敵、収集品、いっぱいのレベルで面白そうだけど、どうしても携帯電話ゲームに見えてしまう（先にWindows Mobileに出てたらしい）。何となくカセットよりもDSiストアに相応しい気がするけど、いいところといえば茶色ばかりで特別の雰囲気を出せていて今の日本のゲームの中でいい意味に目立つと思う。
Add enemies, collectables and many levels and it may be interesting, but it still looks like a cellphone game to me (it was actually released first for Windows Mobile). I think it would fit more at the DSi Store than as a DS game card. Though the art looks quite fresh with all that brown. You don’t get too often this kind of unique atmospheres nowadays in Japanese games.
