Sangría en Itoshima

Sangría en Itoshima

I don’t usually drink, but we were having this barbecue and as the local Spaniard I was asked for making some sangria.

Primero puse vino barato.

First put in some cheap wine.

Then lemon soda.

Then a little rum. This tiny bottle was found in the grocery store among the ingredients for making cake.

This is what is used in Japan to mix alcoholic beverages: disposable chopsticks. The sangria had sugar and fruits (orange and pineapple) in it too, and ended up looking like the first photo.

Sangria is a typical Spanish wine punch made with fruits, sugar and a little of some distilled beverage like rum.

I found very funny to find this «Lolailo» sangria bottle at a supermarket near my home in Fukuoka. My advice: don’t drink bottled sangria if you want to know what real sangria tastes like. Punchs aren’t for bottling.

Our friend tak and his wife took us recently to a new restaurant. It’s near Oohori Park and it’s called couta.

As you can see they have a lot of variety in their menu. It’s an izakaya but they do some unique dishes. For instance the spaghetti misonara.

It’s like cream carbonara but they add miso to the mix. And they don’t sprinkle cheese but nori and green onion–the Japanese style. It’s delicious.

Estaba bueno.

Sillas — 椅子 — Chairs

¡Hola! Soy Ai.

Hello! It’s me, Ai. Today I want to introduce you my favorite thing. It’s a «chair». I don’t know when it was that I got to know that I really like chairs but when I find a cute chair, it makes me feel like «I want to take a picture of you».

I found this little chair in «omoshiroichi» when we went to Dazaifu Tenmangu. She was alone and looked like that she wants to say something. It was really cute and I wanted to talk with her.

I met these pairs of chairs and tables in the shop we entered on the same day. Each pair had a different character but they looked like they are good friends. Look at the one on this side. It’s so nice, isn’t it?

sillas 椅子 chairs

Here are the last ones. The owner of a bar which serve good wines gave me these chairs. These were made with wine caps and there were a lots of them in the bar. He said to me «you can take as many as you want» as I was staring at them. I brought them in my hands so as not to break them.

I want to live surrounded by many kinds of chairs someday…
