Chanpon en casa de taccu の家でちゃんぽん

Hoy @taccu me ha invitado a comer chanpon en su casa.

今日@taccuの家に来たらちゃんぽんを作ってくれた。

I came to @taccu‘s today and he made me chanpon.

Toda la verdura es del huerto de su suegro, y estaba buenísima.

野菜は全部お父さんが作ったもので、凄く美味しかった。

All the vegetables are from his father-in-law’s, and of course delicious.

Se sofríe todo antes de meterlo en el caldo, que por cierto es de sobre.

全てをいためてからスープ（本当は粉スープ）に入れます。

Fry everything, then put it into the soup (actually instant soup).

¡Y acaba con esta pintaza! Hoy hemos comido muy bien.

そしてこんな美味しそうに！今日のご飯はうまかった。

¡And it ends up looking as yummy as this! Today’s lunch was quite good.

Sea Diner シーダイナー

Hoy @taccu me ha llevado a comer a un sitio para nada japonés: Sea Diner

今日@taccuが連れてってくれたのは全然日本っぽくないお店だった：シーダイナー。

Today @taccu took me to a place that looks anything but Japanese: Sea Diner.

Una hamburguesa con queso grandota y patatas buenas, 1050 yenes.

でかいチーズバーガーと美味しいポテト：1050円。

A big cheeseburger and good fries: 1050 yen.

Comparando con los sitios a los que voy normalmente, parece que estemos en Estados Unidos. ¡Y hemos salido muy llenos!

普通行ってるお店と比べると、アメリカにいるような感じ。お腹いっぱいになった！

Compared to the places I usually go for a meal, this one feels like one’s in the USA. And we walked out quite full!

Conferencia de ikebana 鈴木榮子先生の講演

Hace unos meses Ai y yo aprobamos el examen para formar parte de la Asociación de Intérpretes de Fukuoka (FIA). Esperamos aprender mucho y conocer a mucha gente interesante en esta asociación, así que estamos muy contentos de haber podido entrar.

数ヶ月前、愛も僕も福岡通訳協会の入会試験に合格出来ました。いろいろ勉強になりそうだし、面白い人に出会うことも出来そうで加入出来て凄く嬉しい。

Some months ago, Ai and I passed the test to become a member of the Fukuoka Interpreters’ Association. We hope to learn a lot and meet a lot of interesting people here, so we’re very happy to be in.

El domingo 21 fue la reunión anual, en la que casualmente se celebraba el 30º aniversario de la Asociación. Para la ocasión invitaron a la primera y única persona de Japón (y probablemente del mundo) que tiene un doctorado en ikebana: Eiko Suzuki. Lleva muchos años enseñando este arte a extranjeros, y su conferencia entrelazaba de forma muy hábil sus investigaciones sobre la historia y la esencia del ikebana, y sus experiencias enseñando en inglés a gente que no es japonesa. Fue súper interesante, y Eiko nos pareció una persona muy fuerte y libre. A los dos nos encantan este tipo de personas.

21日の日曜日には30周年の祝いを兼ねて総会が行われた。そのきっかけで日本初で日本唯一の（多分世界でも初めてで唯一？）生け花博士の鈴木榮子先生が招かれた。榮子先生は長年外国人にお花を教えてこられた。講演の中では生け花の歴史や本質と、先生が英語で日本人でない人達に生け花を教えて得られた経験が上手に絡み合わせられていた。講演自体は凄く面白かったし、榮子先生は強くて自由な人に見えた。そういう人が大好きです。

The yearly meeting of the Association was last Sunday (February 21st), and it included a celebration of the 30th anniversary of FIA. For the occasion they called the first and only ikebana Ph.D. in Japan (and probably in the world) Eiko Suzuki. She’s been teaching this art to foreign people for many years, and her lecture entwined with great skill her investigation about the history and essence of ikebana and her experiences teaching ikebana to non-Japanese people. It was really interesting, and Eiko seemed to be a very strong and free person. Both of us love that kind of people.

Hacía mucho tiempo que no tomaba tantas notas a mano, pero sigo teniendo la misma mala letra.

手書きでこんなにメモをとるのは久しぶりだけど、字の汚さが全然直ってない。

It’d been a long time since I last took so many notes by hand, and my handwriting hasn’t improved at all.

Ippudo 一風堂

Ippudo es una de las cadenas más importantes de restaurantes de tonkotsu ramen (con caldo de cerdo). Es más caro que la mayoría de sitios de ramen, pero a toda la gente que he llevado les ha gustado.

一風堂は大手の豚骨ラーメンチェーン。千円弱で、ラーメンの中では高い方だけど、家族や友達を連れて行くと、いつも喜んでくれる。

Ippudo is among the biggest chains of tonkotsu ramen restaurants. At almost 1000 yen per bowl it’s a bit more expensive than most other places, but everyone I’ve taken here has loved it.
