La charla en Apple Store salió muy bien アップルストアでのイベントは無事終了

Ya hice la charla de podcasts que os dije, y salió muy bien gracias a todo el mundo. Podéis leer un resumen de lo que conté en Alecrem.

Uno de los podcasts que nombré entre mis favoritos fue el de mis colegas Kafelog, en el que he salido un par de veces. Aunque fue una recomendación a modo anecdótico, ya que no creo que nadie de entre los asistentes tuviera el nivel de español necesario para entenderlo.

自分の好きなポッドキャストで紹介したスペインのKafelogには僕も2回出たことある。おすすめだけど、早口で口汚くて聞き取りにくいスペイン語だと思います。

Kafelog, which I introduced as one of my favorite podcasts, has had me as a guest twice or so. It’s very fun, but it’s fast and dirty Spanish so it can be very hard to follow.

El día 19 de septiembre tengo una charla en el Apple Store de Fukuoka Tenjin, en la que contaré cómo se hace un podcast y presentaré Escucha español. Me he pillado el iPhone

Ayer dejé de usar mi viejo DoCoMo Mova P506iC y me hice con un iPhone con contrato de Softbank.

昨日、古いドコモのムーバP506iCをやめてソフトバンクと契約してiPhoneにした。

Yesterday I quit my old DoCoMo Mova P506iC cell phone and got myself an iPhone with Softbank.

Cosas que eran mejores en el P506iC:

La cámara.

Cosas que son mejores en el iPhone:

Todo lo demás.

Cosas que me sorprendieron gratamente haciendo el contrato:

Me dan un vale de compra por valor de 5000 yenes, que se puede usar en muchos sitios.
Me dieron un colgante para el móvil que es el perrito «Padre» de Softbank y habla. Gracias a Dios, no se puede poner en el iPhone.

Cosas que me fastidiaron haciendo el contrato con Softbank:

Al menos en la tienda donde contraté, el primer mes es obligatorio usar el segundo plan más barato en lugar de el primero, que es el que quería yo.
También me pusieron un servicio adicional de pago que no se puede quitar hasta el segundo mes.
No me copiaron los contactos del teléfono viejo al nuevo, parece que lo hacían hasta hace pocas semanas.
Para copiar los contactos al iPhone necesito un cable de datos para el P506iC y un ordenador con Windows. Lo que yo tengo es una tarjeta miniSD con una copia de mis contactos y un Mac. Ridículo.

P506iCの方でよかった：

iPhoneの方でよかった：

カメラ以外全て。

ソフトバンクと契約する時にいい意味で驚いたこと：

5000円の商品券をもらえる。
しゃべる「お父さん」ストラップをもらった。iPhoneには付けられないのはありがたいことだ。

ソフトバンクと契約する時にビックリしたこと：

少なくとも僕が契約した店舗でだけど、契約するその1ヶ月目はWホワイトプランを使わないと行けない。一番安いにしたいのに！
要らないサービスも他に「セットだから」押し売りされた。そういうのやめて欲しい。
連絡先のコピーはしてくれない。最近までしていたらしい。
連絡先を自分でコピーするには、P506iCのPC通信ケーブルとウインドウズの入ったパソコンが必要。持ってるのはバックアップが入ってるminiSDカードとマックだけど、どっちも駄目だ。意味不明。

Things that were better at P506iC:

Things better with iPhone:

Stuff that I did like when contracting Softbank:

They give me a shopping coupon for 5000 yen.
They gave me a talking «Father» dog strap which thanks God I can’ attach to the iPhone.

Stuff that I didn’t like when contracting Softbank:

At least at the shop I got my iPhone at, you can’t choose the most inexpensive plan the first month.
They also forced me to opt in to a pay service I don’t need at all.
They didn’t copy my old contacts to the new phone —looks like they were doing it until a few weeks ago.
To copy the contacts myself, I need a data cable for the P506iC and a computer with Windows. But I have a miniSD card with a backup and a Mac, this is ridiculous.

Cortar manzana — 林檎の切り方

Siempre me ha llamado la atención la manera de cortar la manzana que tienen en Japón, y creo que con este estilo se aprovecha mucho la manzana. Primero se corta la manzana en 4 partes, luego se pela, se quita el corazón de cada cuarto y finalmente se corta cada cuarto en dos mitades.

前から日本で見てきたリンゴの切り方が気になっていた。まずは4分に切って、皮を剥いて、種のところを切り取って、最後は半分に切る。

I’ve liked Japan’s way of cutting apples since I first saw it. You can eat a lot of apple from an apple by cutting an apple this way (is anybody actually reading my English?). Well, first you cut the apple in four, then you peel it and cut out the core part with the seeds, and to finish you cut every one of the four pieces in half.

El estilo que yo conocía en España, aunque no sale muy bien con los cuchillacos japoneses, consiste en pelar la manzana y, tomándola por su eje, cortar trozos tan grandes como puedas evitando el corazón.

スペインで初めて知った切り方は日本のでかい包丁ではちょっと難しいけど、説明しよう。皮を剥いてから上と下に指を付けて左手で取る。右手で適当に切って食べる。日本の切り方の方ではゴミが少なく出来ると思うけど。

The apple cutting style I used to know in Spain is, just peel the apple then cut away as big pieces as you can.
