Así estaba el campo de arroz que hay cerca de mi trabajo hace una semana.

会社の近くの田んぼの先週の様子です。

This is the rice field near work last week.

La hierba sigue avanzando y, aunque apenas se ven aunque hagas clic para ver la foto más grande, hay pajaritos de varios tamaños.

草はちょっとずつ生えてきていて、そこには（クリックして写真を大きくしてもあまり見えないけど）大小いろんな鳥がいます。

Weeds keep growing and there are some birds, though you can hardly see them even if you click to see the larger picture.

Y así estaba esta semana. Ha llovido bastante estos días y la hierba ha subido bastante.

これは今週の様子です。最近雨が多くて草がかなり生えてきました。

And this is this week. It has rained a lot, and weeds have grown even more.

そろそろ水が入った田んぼと田植えをした田んぼの写真を見せたいと思っています。

Choushuu Koriki, el Josmar japonés — スペインの対長州小力ホスマル

Josmar Gerona es un artistazo español que parece que ha triunfado en la televisión de Cataluña, según me cuenta Ryu. Me lo nombraron ayer en los comentarios acerca de Ranchuu y, aunque no lo conocía, he tardado poco. Se trata de un sujeto que canta y baila pop de discoteca tipo años noventa muy ligerito de ropa. Para el que no lo haya visto nunca y tenga lo que hay que tener, aquí hay un vídeo suyo hasta que lo borren las autoridades sanitarias.

ホスマル・ヘロナはスペインのテレビで人気の芸能人。自分は知らなかったけど、昨日らんちゅうについてのコメントに名前が出てきた。簡単に言うと、ホスマルは変な格好をして浜田麻里みたいな動きをして９０年代ぽい音楽で歌ったり踊ったりする人。下記の動画で見ることが出来ます。

Josmar Gerona is a popular artist on Spanish TV. I hadn’t heard about him until he was named on yesterday’s comments. He’s a guy dressed up as a 80’s hooker singing and dancing to 90’s dance hits. You can check his stuff on the movie below (until it gets deleted).

El caso es que viendo vídeos de Josmar me ha dicho ai que le recuerda a un personaje japonés igualmente jocoso, un tipo llamado Choushuu Koriki que empieza imitando al astro de la lucha libre Choushuu Riki y acaba bailando para-para a ritmo de música noventera, bastante parecido a lo de Josmar (y las pintas se parecen bastante). He aquí Choushuu Koriki en acción.

ホスマルの動画を見ていたとき、aiが長州小力に似ていると言った。その時初めて長州小力の踊りを見ました。長州力というプロレスラーのモノマネから始まり、最後はパラパラを踊りだす。格好もホスマルに似ていますね。

When we were watching Josmar music videos, Ai told me he reminded her of Choushuu Koriki, a Japanese comedian who starts his number imitating pro-wrestler Choushuu Riki, and finishes it dancing para-para. Check him at the following movie.

Ranchuu el humorista (the comedian) — らんちゅうの漫才

La noche del Chipstock Festival 2007 Fukuoka, pudimos disfrutar de un humorista diciendo chorradas entre actuación y actuación. Ranchuu es un chico de Fukuoka que otras veces lo han llamado para hacer DJ, y al final ha acabado contando chistes todo el rato (parecido a como empezó el mítico Eugenio).

Chipstock Festival 2007 Fukuokaの夜は、ライブとライブの間らんちゅうという福岡の芸人さんの漫才を楽しむことが出来ました。らんちゅうはDJとして呼ばれても曲を鳴らさずに漫才ばかりするらしい。

The night of Chipstock Festival 2007 Fukuoka, we enjoyed a comedian between sets. Ranchuu is from Fukuoka and, even if you call him for DJing, he might spend his whole set telling jokes.

Tenía unos 5 0 10 minutos entre actuación y actuación (creo que es un horario muy duro) y, aunque solo tengo fotos de este numerito, trajo preparados muchos trajes y chistes diferentes. Aquí estaba explicando las ventajas de comer takana, una verdura muy popular como guarnición en Japón. Mientras hablaba se iba llevando takana de los calzoncillos a la boca. No, nadie sabía por qué la tenía en los calzoncillos.

セットの間の５〜１０分間を何回か繰り返したけど、らんちゅうの格好とネタは毎回違いました。多分きついスケジュールだったと思います。今回は高菜の良さについて語りながら、パンツから高菜を出して食べていた。

He had 5 or 10 minutes between every two sets, and he played a different role with different jokes and attire every time. When I took these pictures, he was talking about the goodness of takana, a Japanese vegetable very popular as a side dish. And while talking, he was eating takana from his underwear. No, that’s not typical Japanese.

Es la vez que he podido ver desde más cerca a un humorista actuando en Japón, y como el humor es diferente del de España me hacía mucha gracia porque todo era nuevo para mí.

初めてこんな近くで漫才を見ることが出来て、スペインのお笑いと違って面白いと思いました。

It’s the first time I’ve been able to see a Japanese comedian’s show this near, and I thought it was a lot of fun. Japanese humor is different from that of Spain, and everything sounded fresh to me.

Sant Jordi vs. Yamata no Orochi — サンジョルディ対ヤマタノオロチ

El 23 de Abril se celebra el día de Sant Jordi o San Jorge, el protagonista de una leyenda muy importante en Europa. En la actualidad el día de Sant jordi está siendo promovido en japón por las floristerías, ya que en Cataluña este día era el día de los enamorados y desde hace siglos existe la costumbre de regalar rosas a las mujeres. Pero Sant Jordi es mayormente el símbolo del caballero heroico que vence a un dragón.

いろんな言い方がありますが、4月23日はサンジョルディの日です。キリスト教の聖人であり、全ヨーロッパに影響を与える神話の主人公でもある。昔から、4月23日はスペインのカタルーニャ地方（バルセロナの辺）で「恋人の日」でしたので、最近では「薔薇をあげる日」として日本でも花屋さんがPRしている。しかし、もっとも重要なのはサンジョルディがドラゴンを倒す神話である。

April 23rd is Saint George‘s day, who plays the main role at a legend which is very important in Europe. Saint George’s day has been the «Lovers’ Day» for centuries at the Catalonian region in current Spain, and now it is being marketed in Japan as a day for giving roses as a present. But the most important thing about Saint George is the legend about him slaying a dragon.

¿Y qué relación tiene esto con Japón? Pues entre las leyendas de Japón hay una equivalente. Comparemos las dos historias:

Un dragón asedia un pueblo y pide el sacrificio de una doncella al día. El día en que se debía sacrificar a la princesa, aparece San Jorge y mata al dragón.

Yamata no Orochi, un dragón de ocho cabezas y ocho colas, está pidiendo a un matrimonio una de sus hijas en sacrificio cada año. El día en que la última de las ocho hijas había de ser entregada, llega Susanoo, uno de los más importantes dioses de las leyendas japonesas, y mata al dragón.

Puede que haya leyendas análogas por todo el mundo. ¿Conocéis más?

この神話は日本とどういう関係があるのでしょうか？実は日本にもこれに似た神話があります。二つを比較してみましょう。

ドラゴンが村を襲い、毎日乙女一人の生け贄を命じる。ちょうど村の姫が食われそうなところに、サンジョルディが現れ、ドラゴンを倒す。

8つの頭と8本の尾を持つ生き物ヤマタノオロチが（ドラゴンと言えばドラゴンでしょう）老夫婦から毎年娘1人を生け贄にしていて、ちょうど8人目の最後の娘が生け贄にされるはずだった日、スサノオが現れ、ドラゴンを倒す。

世界中にも似た神話があるでしょうか？あなたも他に知っていますか？

And how is this related to Japan? Well, there is one very similar legend. Let me compare both stories:

A dragon is asking a village for a maiden to be sacrificed every day and, just when it was the turn of the local princess, Saint George shows up and slays the dragon.

Yamata no Orochi, a dragon with eight heads and eight tails, is demanding one maiden a year from a family. Just when the last of the eight daughters was about to be sacrified to Yamata no Orochi, Susanoo (a very important deity in Japanese folklore) shows up and slays the dragon.

There may be similar legends all over the world. Do you know any other ones?
