Curry de personajes キャラクターカレー

En los supermercados japoneses venden curry instantáneo (del que no pica) con personajes populares entre los niños. El arroz con curry es una de las comidas que más gustan a los niños japoneses, y si en la caja sale su personaje favorito o viene una pegatina pues mejor.

スーパーにはキャラクターの甘口レトルトカレーが置いてある。日本の子供の中ではカレーがすごく人気。そのカレーの箱に好きなキャラクターの絵が書いてあるとたまらないらしい。シールが付いたら最高。

At Japanese supermarkets you can get non-spicy instant curry with popular characters on its box. Curry rice is many Japanese kids’ favorite meal and if it has their favorite character on them they do want it. Guess when it has a sticker they go nuts.

Pero lo que yo compré son estos de aquí abajo que estaban de oferta. Son de los que sí que pican (aunque no demasiado) y llevan más cantidad, lo que es una ración de adulto. Normalmente suelen valer 89 yenes pero hoy solo 59. Aunque cada cliente solo puede comprar 5 raciones. ¿PQC? ¿Quieren vender o se creen que me están haciendo un favor? Además, no es la primera vez.

でも僕が買ったのは安くなっていた下のやつ。中辛で、大人に相当な量が入っている。普通は89円するけど今日は59円だけ。しかし「お1人様合わせて5点限り」。何これ？売る気あるのか？僕を負けてもらってる気持ちにしたいのか？ちなみにこれは初めてじゃない。

But what I got is the cheap ones at the bottom. These are spicy rations with the right amount for an adult, which usually go for ¥89 but were ¥59 today. Too bad each customer could only get 5 of these. WTF? Do they really want to sell or do they think they are doing me a favor? By the way it’s not the first time.

Orto Cafe オルトカフェ

La semana pasada fui a comer con mi amigo tak al Orto Cafe, una cafetería con nombre desafortunado que significa culo en algunos países como por ejemplo Argentina.

先週、友達のtakさんとオルトカフェでご飯食べに行った。ちなみにアルゼンチンなどいろんな国で「orto」は「お尻」のこと。

Last week I had lunch at Orto Cafe with my friend tak. You might not want to know that orto means «ass» (as in «bottom») in Argentina and some other countries.

Hay varios menús para elegir. El mío era una sopa minestrone con 3 tapas a elegir y pan. Todo por 750 ¥.

ランチはいろんなメニューから選べる。僕はミネストローネにした。小鉢3つとパンが付いて750円。

You have some choices for your lunch, mine being minestrone with 3 tapas and bread. All for ¥750.

La minestrone era sabrosa y abundante. Muy buena.

ミネストローネは美味しかった。量もちょうどよかった。

The minestrone was tasty and quantity was just right. Yummy.

Aquí es donde vienes a escoger tus tres tapas. Cuando fuimos nosotros solo había tres tipos, así que elegir fue extremadamente fácil.

小鉢（タパス？）はここで自分で選ぶ。僕たちが行ったときは3種類しかなかったので凄く選びやすかった。

Here’s where you choose your tapas. There were only 3 kinds when we went there, so choosing was extremely easy.

El pan lo hacen allí mismo y está muy bueno. De hecho tak siempre compra el pan allí. La mantequilla también es casera pero no es mantequilla sino un mejunje dulce que tampoco estaba mal.

パンは自家製でうまい。takさんはいつもここで買っているらしい。バターも自家製だけど本当はバターじゃなくて甘い物質。悪くなかった。

They make their own bread so it tastes very good. The butter is home-made too but isn’t actually butter. It’s some sweet stuff that wasn’t all that bad.

tak pidió el menú curry, que también tenía muy buena pinta. La próxima vez será mío.

takさんはカレーにした。美味しそうだった！今度僕も食べてみよう。

tak had the curry lunch which looked very good. Next time it’ll be mine.

El curry en sí viene en una jarra aparte. Este es el arroz con sus verduritas.

カレーのルーは別で来る。これはご飯と野菜。

Curry itself comes in a jar apart. This is the rice with some veggies.

El postre de tak, tarta de queso.

takさんのデザートはチーズケーキ。

tak’s dessert was cheese cake.

Mi postre: gelatina de pomelo con vino blanco. Muy original, me gustó.

僕のデザートはグレープフルーツと白ワインのゼリー。新鮮だった。

Mine was a grapefruit and white wine slimy treat. Very refreshing, I liked it.

Oferta en curry instantáneo 安いよ！レトルトカレー

El curry instantáneo es una de las comidas más baratas y cómodas que hay en Japón. Una ración de curry lista para calentar y poner encima del arroz suele costar alrededor de 100 yenes (el arroz se vende por separado).

レトルトカレーは日本の食べ物の中でもかなり安くて便利だ。1人前は100円ぐらいで手に入る。

Instant curry is one of the cheapest and easiest to prepare meals you can have in japan. A ration ready for pouring on a dish of rice costs about 100 yen (rice is sold separately).

Pero hoy me he encontrado una oferta en el supermercado y he podido comprar curry por 59 yenes la ración. Estaba limitado a 6 por cliente, así que me llevé 6 por 354 yenes, poco más de 2 euros ahora mismo. Tranquilos que no se me van a pasar de fecha, caducan en 2010.

でも今日はスーパーで特に安かった。1個59円で、1人6個まで購入可能ということで354円で6個が手に入った。賞味期限は2010年だから、ダメにはならないと思う。

But today it was specially cheap at the supermarket. A ration for 59 yen, maximum purchase 6 rations per client. I got my 6 rations for 354 yen, which is the cheapest ever as far as I know. And don’t worry, they won’t expire until 2010.

El arroz cuesta en Japón el doble que en España, pero comer curry aquí sigue siendo mucho más barato en total. Y aquí tenéis un vídeo de cómo se prepara el curry instantáneo. ¿Lo habíais visto ya?

プロデューサー、インドカレーの辛さ50倍に挑戦 — El Producer se come el curry hindú más picante

A mi colega el Producer no le gusta el picante, pero el otro día en mi restaurante de curry favorito se pidió la comida con el máximo de picante que se podía elegir en la carta. El resultado es obvio, pero no por eso menos divertido verlo.

友達のプロデューサーは辛いのが好きじゃないのに、なぜかお気に入りのインドカレー屋さんでメニューの中で一番辛い50倍を頼んだ。結果はみんな予想出来ると思うけど、見ても面白い。

My friend Producer does not like spicy food, but for some reason he ordered the most spicy curry on the menu at my favorite curry restaurant. The result is obvious, but still fun to watch.

Hamburguesa con curry hindú — インドハンバーグカレー

Hoy he ido a mi restaurante favorito de curry hindú y he probado la hamburguesa con curry. La hamburguesa era de pollo y cerdo y estaba buenísima. Los japoneses hacen curry con ternera, pero ya se sabe que los hindúes no comen ternera ni la dan de comer.

今日はお気に入りのインドカレー屋さんでハンバーグカレーを食べた。インド人は牛肉を食べないということで、ハンバーグ自体は豚肉と鶏肉だった。牛肉より美味しかった。

Today I went to my favorite Indian curry restaurant and had hamburger curry. The hamburger is made of chicken and pork, and it was delicious. Japanese people make beef curry, but Indian people don’t eat beef.

Además, había un chico nuevo extranjero al que estaban enseñando a saludar a los clientes, cómo poner la mesa, y esas cosas. A ver si me hago colega y me enseña musicote hindú to guapo.

それに今日は新しい人がいた。若い外国人の方で、挨拶とテーブルの準備などを教えてもらっていた。仲良くなったらインドの音楽について教えてもらえるかな。

And today there was this new, young foreign guy. They were teaching him how to greet customers, how to set tables, etc. Maybe I can become friends with him and he’ll tell me about some cool Indian music?
