Taihō Ramen 大砲ラーメン

El otro día cenamos en uno de tantos buenos restaurantes de ramen que hay en Tenjin: Taihō Ramen.

この間天神にある美味しいラーメンのお店の一つで夜食べた：久留米大砲ラーメン。

The other day we had supper at one of the many good ramen restaurants in Tenjin: Taihou Ramen.

Lo primero que hay que hacer nada más entrar es comprar los tickets de lo que quieras comer, que se venden en una máquina expendedora en la que los botones tienen fotos. Yo me pedí el ramen con alga nori y puerro (o cebolleta), y un suplemento de arroz y gyōza. Total: 830 yenes.

入ったら自動販売機ですぐ食券を買うことだ。僕はのりネギラーメンにして、プラス200円でご飯と餃子を付けてもらった。合計830円。

First thing you do once you’re in is getting your food tickets from the vending machine. I got ramen with nori seaweed and Welsh onion, with a rice and gyoza supplement – everything for 830 yen.

El ramen de Taihō Ramen es del estilo Kurume, que muchos citan como el origen del famoso ramen tonkotsu (caldo de cerdo), que engloba a la gran mayoría del ramen que se come en la isla de Kyushu.

大砲ラーメンは元祖豚骨とよく言われる久留米ラーメンだ。豚骨ラーメンにはいろんな種類があって九州では他のラーメンを食べるのは珍しい。

Taihou Ramen‘s ramen is Kurume style, which is often cited as the roots of all tonkotsu ramen. Tonkotsu or pork soup ramen is a superset of almost every ramen variety in the Kyushu Island.

Después de ponerle sésamo y otros condimentos y comer un poco, tiene esta pinta.

ごま等を付けて、半分食べてから、見た目はこの感じになってくる。

After putting sesame and stuff in the ramen, and having half of it, it looks like this.

Estos son los gyōza, una especie de empanadillas chinas que se suelen hervir o hacer al vapor, pero que en Japón y sobre todo en esta zona es muy típico comerlas a la plancha.

これは焼き餃子。焼くのは日本だけかな？とにかく美味しい。福岡では焼き餃子がかなり有名。

These are gyoza, Chinese dumplings that are usually steamed or boiled, but we like to fry them on a pan here in Japan.

Todo esto es para ponértelo a tu gusto en el ramen y para mojar los gyōza. Un día os haré un cursillo.

初めて来る場合は、付けれる物が多くて難しいかもしれない。幸いなれて来た。

All this stuff is to add a personal flavor to your ramen and gyoza. Maybe I should explain how to use everything some day.

Y este es el restaurante visto desde fuera. Ojo que el «taihō» de Taihō Ramen significa «cañón».

And this is the restaurant’s outside. Note the «taihou» in Taihou Ramen means «cannon».

Paseo por Tenjin 天神

Venid a pasear 5 minutos conmigo por Tenjin, el centro de Fukuoka.

福岡の中心の天神で5分ぶらぶらしてみた。コメントはスペイン語だけど、見る物を説明しているだけ。

Come walk with me for 5 minutes around Tenjin, the center of Fukuoka. I speak in Spanish on the movie, but I just say what I’m seeing every moment.

Y aquí podéis ver el mapa del recorrido, saliendo desde la acera de enfrente de Tenjin Core e IMS, cruzando Solaria Plaza y dando una vuelta por el Parque Kego, famoso por su iluminación en Navidad.

In this map you can see the path for this walk. From the sidewalk in front of Tenjin Core and IMS, going across Solaria Plaza and walking around Kego Park, which is famous for its Christmas ilumination.

Bikkuritei ビックリ亭

El otro día mi amigo Tak me llevó a un restaurante llamado Bikkuritei, nombre que significa «restaurante sorprendente» y de hecho así resultó ser.

この間、友達のTakさんがビックリ亭に連れて行ってくれた。しかも元祖の店舗に！

The other day, my friend Tak took me to a restaurant called Bikkuritei. It means «surprising restaurant» and so it was in many ways.

Realmente sorprende que no tengan la caña de cerveza detrás de la barra. Es todo muy como de andar por casa.

インテリアにはビックリした。すごくアットホームだった。

It’s surprising that they don’t have the beer tap around the counter. Interior designs feels very much at home.

En todas las mesas había un vaso lleno de cosa roja picante, y un palo de madera para cada uno. ¿Para qué será?

テーブルに最初から置いてあったのは、辛そうな赤い物と、一人ずつ1本の棒。何に使うんだろう？

There was this red spicy stuff on every table, and a wooden bar per person. What is it for?

¿Para apoyar los palillos? ¡No! Por cierto, ha llegado la comida. Lo llaman horumon, que es una cosa gelatinosa que no se puede ni masticar y no me gusta, pero en este restaurante aunque pidas horumon te dan carne de verdad. ¡Qué sorpresa!

箸置き？違う！ちなみにホルモン出たよ。僕はホルモンが噛み切らなくて食べれないけど、ここのお店のホルモンは普通のお肉だ。ビックリするでしょう！

Is it for holding your chopsticks? Wrong! By the way, food is here. They call it horumon, and I don’t like horumon because it’s slimy and I can’t chew it. However, order horumon at this restaurant and you’ll get regular meat. Surprise!

El uso correcto del palo: inclinar el plato para que el aceite se vaya todo a un lado.

The right use for the wooden bar: inclining your tray so that the oil goes to the bottom.

Ayer fui a una fiesta donde también pinchaba digiki, pero hoy lo estoy viendo también en el Apple Store.

昨日もイベントでdigikiがDJしてたけど、今もアップルストアでみている

digiki was djing at yesterday’s event too, but I’m seeing him right now again at the Apple Store.

A por el carnet de conducir japonés 免許を取りに行ったが・・・

El año pasado decidí pedir una traducción oficial de mi carnet de conducir para poder hacerme el permiso de conducir japonés, pero la tuve guardada hasta hoy que he decidido ir a Tráfico.

日本の運転免許をもらえるように、去年自分のスペインの免許の翻訳を頼んだ。今日まで放っておいてきたけど。

Last year I got a translation of my driving license so that I can get my Japanese license, but I didn’t use this translation until today.

El Centro de Exámenes de Conducción (lo que llamaríamos «Tráfico» en España) de mi ciudad está un poco apartado de la civilización y tardé casi media hora por la autopista. En bici, claro, y por debajo. Había carril bici, algo bastante raro en esta ciudad.

福岡自動車運転免許試験場は都市の中心から結構離れていて、都市高を30分程走った。走ったのはチャリで、都市高の下だけどね。珍しく、自転車に載るのによく準備されていた。

Fukuoka’s Driving License Examination Center is quite far from the center and it took me almost 30 minutes on the highway. Actually more like under the highway, on my bike. The road was very well prepared for bicycles, which is not usual here.

Con mi permiso español y una traducción oficial que me hizo la Japan Automobile Federation o JAF tengo suficiente para tener el carnet japonés (también hay que presentar otros documentos de los que te piden para cualquier trámite). Aunque según el país que expidió el permiso original hay veces que es necesario examinarse, como ocurre con los permisos de EEUU.

僕の場合はスペインの免許の原本と、JAFに頼んだその翻訳と、その他に普通に頼まれる書類を出すだけで免許が出る。免許を発行した国によって試験を受けないといけないときがあるけど（アメリカの場合）スペイン発の免許を切り替えるに試験は不要。

With my Spanish license and the translation I got from the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF), as well as some other usual documents, I am able to get my Japanese license. But depending on the country that issued your original license you may have to pass an exam. I read USA license holders must take the exam.

Como ahora ya no tengo obligación de estar en una oficina a las horas en que se hacen estos trámites, he aprovechado hoy. Claro que luego me toca recuperar trabajo a otras horas.

今は毎日営業時間にいく会社がないので、仕事を後回して試験場に行ってみた。

Since now I don’t have to go to an office at the time one usually does this kind of paperwork, I postponed my work to a different time and went there.

Y a las 2 de la tarde llegué al Centro. Es un edificio muy grande (aunque hay 4 centros en la provincia) y tiene un recinto para hacer el examen práctico de conducción, que en España al menos el de coche se hace por la ciudad.

到着したのは午後2時。福岡県に試験場が4ヵ所にあるけど、建物はでかかった。技能試験のためのコースを初めて見た。スペインで自動車運転免許をとる時の技能試験は町中でしか行われない。

I got there at 2 pm. The building is very big, although there are 3 more centers in Fukuoka Prefecture, and it has a course for practical driving tests, which I saw today for the first time since in Spain we only take our practical tests on real streets.

Imaginaos mi sorpresa cuando después de ver todos mis documentos y decirme que estaban bien, me dijeron que no podían hacerme el permiso porque estábamos fuera del horario. El horario en cuestión para este tipo de cosas es de una a una y media de la tarde y de lunes a viernes. Tonto de mí, que debí haberlo buscado mejor antes de ir. Aunque busqué, vaya si busqué.

窓口に言って、担当者の方に書類を出して、書類はそろっていると言われた。でも次に言われたのは、この手続きの受付時間は月〜金の1時から1時半までとのことで、手続き出来ません。先に調べてみたけど、これはややこしい。それでも僕はバカだった。

Now picture my face when I was told this: I went to the place where they do this stuff and they told me my documents were OK. But they couldn’t do it today because they only process this from 1 to 1:30 pm, Monday to Friday. I tried to check this time before coming but I guess I failed.

De todas formas me pareció muy absurdo que teniendo el edificio abierto y con los responsables de este trámite trabajando diligentemente en su ventanilla tengan este horario tan reducido para este trámite. Así que les llené un A4 con mi opinión para el buzón de sugerencias. Os habéis librado de ver mi letra en japonés porque se me olvidó hacerle una foto a este papel.

しかし窓口も開いていて担当者もいるのにそんな短くて不便な時間帯にする意味は分からない。A4を1枚文字一杯にして、「ご意見承り箱」に入れた。その紙の写真を撮るの忘れたのをいいことと思って下さい。僕の手書きを見ないで済むので。

Anyway, I find it quite ridiculous that the building is open and the guys doing this are working, but still they can’t receive this people asking for this stuff except for those 30 minutes a day. So I filled an A4 with my opinion on the subject and put it in the suggestions box. You may be thankful that I forgot to take a picture of this paper. This way you won’t have to see my Japanese handwriting.
