Este fin de semana estuve en Tokio y me di una vuelta con Jose de UnGatoNipón por Akihabara. Mientras él se dedicaba a fotografiar los carteles de los servicios de las tiendas, yo encontré esta joya.

週末は東京に行って、UnGatoNipónのホセと秋葉原を回った。彼がお店のトイレの看板の写真を撮っていた間に、このお宝を発見した。

Last weekend I was in Tokyo and shopped around Akihabara with Jose from ACatInJapan. While he was taking pictures of the toilet signs at the shops, I found this treasure.

Una edición limitada de la ya de por sí rara Game Boy Light. Esta vez conmemorando el número 500 de la revista japonesa de videojuegos Famitsu.

普通版でも割と珍しいゲームボーイライトの限定版だ。今回はゲーム雑誌「ファミ通」の500号を記念した特殊な本体。

A limited edition of the Game Boy Light, of which even the regular editions are rather rare. This one commemorates number 500 of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu.

El cuerpo es transparente y tanto los botones como el marco de la pantalla son blancos, lo que le da un aspecto bastante especial y evoca un traje o instrumento de astronauta.

透明なボディーと白いボタンと白い画面フレームで、神秘的な感じがする。宇宙服とか宇宙飛行士の使う機材を浮かぶ。

With its transparent body and the white screen frame and buttons, it looks very special. It makes me think of a space suit or some astronaut’s instrument.

El logo dice «Famitsu 500 Model-F02» porque se conmemora la salida del número 500 de la Famitsu en julio de 1998, hace 10 años. Lo de «Model-F02» es porque un año antes hubo una edición limitada Famitsu de la Game Boy Pocket llamada «Model-F».

書いてあるのは「FAMITSU 500 MODEL-F02」。「FAMITSU 500」の意味は、10年前1998年７月に発売されたファミ通の500号を記念するとのこと。「MODEL F-02」というのは、1年前ゲームボーイポケットの「MODEL-F」といったファミ通限定版が発売されたから付いている。

The logo says «Famitsu 500 Model-F02» because it celebrated number 500 of Famitsu which was for sale in July 1998, ten years ago. The «Model F-02» part is there because there was a Famitsu Game Boy Pocket limited edition the previous year, called «Model-F».

Creo que tuve mucha suerte al encontrar esta Game Boy. Está literalmente como nueva y no me salió ni de lejos tan barata como la Game Boy Light Pikachu Yellow, pero tampoco era un precio como para dejarla ahí porque esta es una de esas máquinas que probablemente solo se encuentran una vez en la vida.

このゲームボーイを見つけて運がよかったと思う。新品みたいに美品だ。また、ゲームボーイライトピカチューイエローよりはお金かかったけど、買わないでおくくらいな価格でもなかったのでとりあえず購入。これから一生見つけることがないかもしれない物だし。

I think I was very lucky to find this Game Boy. It’s perfectly mint and, though it wasn’t as inexpensive as the Game Boy Light Pikachu Yellow, it was not as expensive as to not buy it in a compulsory way. I won’t probably find this cutie again.

A lo mejor muchos no habéis visto nunca el interruptor de la Light. Tiene tres posiciones: off, on y light. Off y on son iguales que en la Game Boy Pocket, pero si pones el interruptor en light la pantalla se ilumina con una luz verdosa. Se puede pasar de on a light y viceversa con la máquina encendida, siempre que no la apaguemos sin querer.

ゲームボーイライトのスイッチを見たことない読者もいるかもしれない。位置は3つあって、それは「オフ」と「オン」と「ライト」。「オフ」と「オン」はゲームボーイポケットと一緒で、ライトにすると液晶が青のライトに照らされる。「オン」と「ライト」の切り替えがプレイ中でも出来るが、誤って電源を切らないように要注意。

Maybe many of my readers haven’t ever seen a Game Boy Light’s switch. It has 3 positions: off, on and light. Off and on are the same as in the Game Boy Pocket, but if you turn it to the light position a green light will light the screen of the Game Boy Light. You can also switch from on to light and back while playing, but take care so you don’t turn it off by accident.

El embalaje es bastante curioso y está hecho para no parecer japonés aunque no da el pego para nada. Aquí abajo os pongo el texto en inglés, que no tiene desperdicio.

Esta Game Boy Light limitada Model-F02 es bastante rara y además es numerada (la mía es la número 0815 de 5000 unidades), pero ojo porque también hay una versión no numerada que se vendía por correo y venía en una caja de cartón en vez de en un blister. Esta que es la numerada solo se podía comprar si ibas a un evento que se celebró en Akihabara conmemorando el número 500 de la Famitsu. Aquí podéis ver fotos de todas las ediciones limitadas de Game Boy Light.

手に入ったMODEL-F02限定版のゲームボーイライトは結構レア物で、さらにナンバリング付いている。5000台の中の0815。これは秋葉原で行われたファミ通500号の記念イベントでしか買えなかったブリスターパッケージの「イベント・バージョン」だけど、通販用にもこのナンバリングと別で箱パッケージの「通販バージョン」もあるらしい。ゲームボーイライトのすべての限定版の写真はここで見れる。

This Model F-02 exclusive Game Boy Light I got is quite rare and is numbered 0815 out of 5000. It is the «event version» that was for sale only at the event in Akihabara celebrating Famitsu Vol. 500, but there was also a non-numbered «mail order version» that came in a box instead of a blister.
