Pato en campo de arroz — 田んぼに鴨がいた — A duck in the rice field

Las plantas de arroz ya han crecido un poco desde que las plantaron.

田植えのときからちょっと大きくなっている。

The rice plants have got a little bigger since the day they were planted.

El otro día Cris dijo que cuando hubiera patos en el campo de arroz una foto y aquí está, aunque el pato se ve un poco pequeño si no haces clic en la foto para abrir la versión grande.

The other day Cris told me she wanted a picture of a duck at the rice field, and here it is. The duck looks a bit tiny, though, if you don’t click to see the big picture.

New pepino track: Ninja en pelotas

Se ha publicado un nuevo proyecto de 8bitpeoples llamado Ice Cream for 8bit, en el que se puede escuchar un tema que hemos compuesto para la ocasión: Ninja en pelotas.

新しい8bitpeoplesのプロジェクトが公開された。ペピーノの新曲も入っている、曲名は「Ninja en pelotas」（日本語で言うと「裸の忍者」）。

A new 8bitpeoples project called Ice Cream for 8bit has been published, and it contains a new pepino track specially composed for the occasion: Ninja en pelotas (Spanish for «Naked Ninja»).

Este proyecto es un homenaje a la música de los camiones que venden helados, y a todos los colaboradores se les pidió ceñirse a unas reglas que limitaron el chiptune más que nunca. Se puede escuchar íntegramente de forma gratuita en la página web: Ice Cream for 8bit.

このプロジェクトはアイスクリームを売るトラックが流す音楽をまねすべきだったから、曲作りは技術的に制限されている。おかげで世界で一番制限されたチップチューンの集まりかも知れない。ホームページにて無料で聞くことが出来る：「Ice Cream for 8bit」。

This project is a homage to ice cream truck chimes, and contributors were asked to obey some rules that limit the chiptune more than ever. The project can be listened for free at the website: Ice Cream for 8bit.

Carillon Editor on Game Boy

Carillon Editor es un programa para componer música en Game Boy. Podéis encontrarlo en el paquete «download» de la página de su autor, Aleksi Eeben. Este vídeo es para que os hagáis una idea de cómo se usa. Por supuesto, hay mucho más que lo que podéis ver aquí, pero he querido hacer un vídeo sencillo.

Carillon Editorはゲームボーイ用作曲ソフト。作者のAleksi Eeben氏のサイトの「download」というパッケージに入っています。このビデオを見てもらってどういう感じか分てもらったらうれしい。もちろん、見える操作以外にいっぱいあるけど、これだけを見せた方がわかりやすいかな。

Carillon Editor is tracker software for the Game Boy, You can find it in the «download» package at author Aleksi Eeben‘s website. This video is for you to have an idea about how this works. Of course there’s a lot of stuff that I’m not showing, but I was trying to make an easy-to-understand video.

La melodía que escribo es del principio de «A la llum de les fogueres», una canción típica de las Hogueras de San Juan. Intenté hacer un screencast usando un emulador de Game Boy en el ordenador, pero después de varias horas lo he dado por imposible, así que lo he grabado a pelo. De esta manera podéis ver la GameBoy Advance SP brighter que me trajo el tiu Nullsleep de Nueva York (en Japón no la venden). La pantalla es la que mejor se ve, y por eso os he enseñado el programa con esta máquina. Pero funciona también en las Game Boy antiguas de blanco y negro.

入力するメロディーはサンフアン火祭りの「A la llum de les fogueres」の始まり。エミュレーターなどを使ってスクリーンキャストにしようと思ったけど、いろいろあってあきらめたのでこのまま録画にした。おかげでNullsleepがニューヨークで買ってきてくれたゲームボーイアドバンスSPの明るい海外版が見られた。画面が見やすいからこれで録画しているけど、このソフトは昔のモノクロゲームボーイでも使える。

The melody I’m entering is from the beginning of «A la llum de les fogueres», a Saint John Bonfires typical festival song. I tried to make a screencast of a Game Boy emulator but I gave up after some hours, so I just recorded the screen. This way you can see the GameBoy Advance SP brighter that Nullsleep bought for me in New York (we didn’t get them here in Japan). The screen is great so I’m recording this Game Boy, but note that the program will work on old school monochrome Game Boys.

先日レコードフェアに行ったら1枚しか買ってこなかったけど、面白いのは何枚もあってので写真だけ撮っておいた。

The other day I went to a record fair and I only bought one LP, but I found a lot of records interesting enough to take a picture of them.

Y este es el disco que me compré. Plastics es uno de mis grupos favoritos, por aquí podéis ver algún vídeo de ellos.

Espacio gratuito — フリースペース — Free space

Free, hermosa palabra inglesa que significa tanto «libre» como «gratis». El caso es que como este espacio está entre rejas supongo que con free más que a «libre» se deben de referir a «gratis».

「フリー」という美しい英語には「自由」と「無料」二つの意味がある。ここは閉まってるから「自由」じゃなくて「無料」という意味だろう？

Free space, but free as in freedom or free as in free beer? This place is closed, so it must be free as in free beer rather than as in freedom.

Pero parece que tampoco se refieren a «gratis» porque debajo de «free space» en letras japonesas pone «de pago» en perfecto japonés.

やっぱり違った。「有料」だった。じゃあフリースペースはどこだっけ？

But! on the second line it says «payment required». So where’s the free space?

Al final resulta que es un aparcamiento de bicicletas. Que me pongan con su representante de mercadotecnia, porque tengo un plan para dominar el mundo.
