Pilaf y curry

Fuimos a nuestro restaurante de curry hindú favorito y, como siempre, salimos muy bien servidos.

We went to our favorite Indian curry restaurant and it was as good as always.

Ai comió arroz pilaf, que se parece más a la paella de mi madre que las paellas que hemos probado en restaurantes españoles de Japón. Como siempre, se puede elegir el nivel de picante y Ai eligió 0.

愛はピラフを食べた。日本で食べてきたパエヤ（和製スペイン語で「パエリヤ」という料理）よりもお母さんのパエヤに似てる。辛さはもちろん選べて、愛は甘口にした。

Ai had pilaf, which is a lot more similar to my mom’s paella than the paella we’ve had at Spanish restaurants in Japan. You can choose how much spice you want, and Ai chose 0 spice.

Yo, arroz con curry de pollo y salchichas. Un plato nuevo que por supuesto no me ha decepcionado. Mi nivel de picante: 2.

僕はチキンとウインナーのカレーライスにした。新しいメニューがいつも美味しいお店です。辛さは2倍にした。

I had chicken and wiener curry rice. It’s a new dish, and new dishes are always good here. My spice level was 2.

Semana en Fukuoka 4 福岡１週間

El sábado pasado celebramos el cumpleaños de Paula con una fiesta de disfraces. Paula iba de «La Casa de la Pradera» y Ai de «el mono de la caca».

先週の土曜日、Paulaのお誕生日仮装パーティーだった。Paulaは「大草原の小さな家」で、愛は「うんこのおさるさん」。

Last Saturday we had a costume party for Paula’s birthday. She dressed as «Little House on the Prairie», and Ai as «the poo monkey».

Se supone que yo me tenía que disfrazar de jebi, pero con esta tienda cerrada no me pude comprar la peluca y tuve que ir a la cena sin disfrazar, tal y como me veis en la foto de aquí arriba.

僕はヘヴィメタルのはずだったけど、お店が閉まっててウィグを買えなかったので、上の写真のまま私服で参加することになった。

I was supposed to dress up as a metalhead, but this shop was closed and I couldn’t get a wig. So I went to the party without any costume, just as you see me in the picture above.

Hicimos Nagasaki chanpon en Fukuoka.

長崎チャンポンを福岡で作ってみた。

We made Nagasaki chanpon in Fukuoka.

Y con los mismos ingredientes el día siguiente hice un salteado de verduras.

次の日は同じ材料で野菜炒めを作った。

And the following day, I made a healthy dish of fried vegetables using the same ingredients.

Por ahí abajo hay una hamburguesa buenísima. Todo esto por unos 1000 yenes en Seikouen (清香園) en Tenjin.

その下にはおいしいハンバーグが隠れてる。全部で1000円ぐらい。天神の清香園。

Down there there’s a very yummy hamburger. All this for around ¥1000 at Seikouen (清香園) in Tenjin.

作業現場に使われるあの照明が風船である証拠。やっとはっきり写った。

At last I got to take a pic that proves those roadwork lights are like balloons.

Esta mañana había un cartel en nuestra estación de tren diciendo los días y horas en los que algún infectado con la gripe A (H1N1) había subido a algún tren. Personalmente me parece pasarse tres pueblos.

今朝近所の駅にあった看板。新型インフルエンザの感染者が乗車していた電車の日付と時間。僕はやり過ぎだとしか思えない。

This morning there was this sign at the local station. It says the dates and times anybody infected with the swine flu virus had been using any train. Personally, I find this is overkill.

Este parfait (copa de helado) me lo comí en un sitio súper mono al que me llevó Paula en Tenjin Core. Vendían algunos súper tochos. ¿Te pedirías uno de un par de litros?

このパフェはPaulaが連れて行ってくれた天神コアのかわいいお店で食べた。でかいパフェを頼んだことある？僕は、ない。

I had this parfait at a very cute place in Tenjin Core Paula took me to. They have some huge ones. Would you order a 2 liter one?

Metro de Fukuoka 福岡地下鉄

Fukuoka es una ciudad extensa de casi un millón y medio de habitantes (incluyendo más de 18.000 extranjeros) pero solo tiene alrededor de 7 líneas de tren o metro que sean convenientes para el transporte por dentro de la ciudad. Aunque muchas veces no es necesario, me da la impresión de que la gente usa demasiado el coche.

福岡は150万人弱の人口（外国人1万8千人以上を含めて）の都会なのに、電車と地下鉄を合わせても市内移動に便利な線は7本ぐらいかな。必要じゃないときも多いのに、人が車を使いすぎる気がする。

Fukuoka is a big city with almost 1.5 million residents (including over 18,000 foreign nationals) but adding up subway and trains it only has around 7 lines that are convenient for moving around the city. It’s often not necessary, but I feel people use the car too much.

渡辺通駅。

Befu (no confundir con Beppu, que es una ciudad de otra provincia pero se escribe con los mismos kanji «別府»).

別府駅（べふ）。大分県別府市（べっぷ）とは無関係。

Befu (not Beppu, a town in another prefecture whose name is written using the same «別府» kanji).

Las indicaciones de la línea Nanakuma son muy claras y modernas.

七隈線の案内は新しくて分かりやすい。

The info screens at the Nanakuma Line are very modern and easy to figure out.

¿Qué es esto? ¿Una pared grande en una estación, sin publicidad?

何これ？駅のこんな広い壁に広告がなくてもいいのか？

What’s this? A large wall at a station, without any advertisements?

Vale. Casualmente estaba vacío este espacio. Sin publicidad, me da la impresión de estar en otro país.

なるほど。たまたま空いていただけか。広告が見えないと違う国にいる感じがするな。

I see. It was just vacant right now. It doesn’t feel like in Japan when I can’t see no advertisements.

Gonpachi Shibuya 権八渋谷

Buenísima cena en el Gonpachi de Shibuya. La mesa la reservó Héctor, y ahí nos juntamos 20 entre familia y amigos, algunos de ellos conocidos por sus blogs como Carlos Vidal u Oskar de Ikusuki.

権八渋谷でおいしい晩ご飯。Héctorが予約してくれて、家族と友達20人で行った。その中にCarlos VidalやIkusukiのOskarもいた。

Super yummy dinner at Gonpachi Shibuya. Héctor did the reservation for 20 of our family and friends, including Carlos Vidal and Ikusuki’s Oskar.

A la salida del restaurante la liamos en el ascensor. La canción parece un insulto al canal autonómico, pero en realidad es un cántico tradicional de las Hogueras de San Juan, las fiestas de Alicante. En serio.

帰りのエレベーターは盛り上がった。歌詞は地方放送局の酷い悪口に聞こえるかもしれないけど、本当はアリカンテの火祭りの伝統的な歌です。本当ですよ。

We sang loud in the elevator, and while the lyrics sound like insult addressed at a local broadcast station the song is actually a traditional one for Alicante’s bonfire festival. Yeah, really.
