Billetes de un millón de yenes — 百億円のお札 — 1 million yen bank notes

Ayer mi jefe me regaló este fajo de billetes de un millón de yenes cada uno. ¡Me sobra el dinero!

昨日、社長からこれをいただきました。やった！金なら、捨てるほどある！

Yesterday, my boss gave me these one million yen banknotes. I’m flooded with money!

Es una libreta de broma, y en realidad no existen billetes japoneses por valor de más de 10000 yenes. Los billetes de al lado sí que son de verdad, los he puesto para que comparéis. (Quería poner billetes de 10.000 de verdad, pero soy pobre y no tengo.)

本当は手帳だけど。残念ながら、日本円のお札は1万円までしかない。隣の千円札は比較出来るように置いていた。（一万円札を置きたかったけど、貧乏だから持っていなかった）

It’s actually a novelty notebook, and Japanese yen bank notes only go up to 10,000. I put some real notes in for you to compare. (I really wanted to put some 10,000 notes, but I’m poor.)

I didn’t think I’d find a monster like this in my neighborhood. A moth more than 10 cm big! (Is that 4″?)

Supongo que habrá quien no se sorprenda, pero a mí me aterra la simple existencia de semejante fenómeno de la naturaleza. Es una pena que no llevara encima una pokeball.

驚かない人もいると思うけど、こんな魔物が存在すると思うと怖くてしょうがない。モンスターボールを常に持ち歩こうかな。

There must be people who won’t be surprised by this, but the mere existence of this creature scares me to death. Too bad I didn’t have a pokeball with me.

Magic: Décima Edición — 第10版 — 10th Edition

Hoy he jugado a Magic: El Encuentro por primera vez en 9 años. Por todo el mundo (sí, en Japón también) ha habido campeonatos tipo mazo sellado en conmemoración de la Décima Edición de Magic (yo dejé de jugar antes de Sexta) y me he apuntado a uno en una tienda de Fukuoka. Claro que no he ganado, pero me lo he pasado bien que es a lo que iba.

今日は9年ぶりにマジック：ザ・ギャザリングをした。世界中に、第10版の発売記念シールド・イベントがあって（僕がやめたのは6版が出た前）福岡のお店で参加した。もちろん負けたけど、予定通りに楽しかった。

Today I’ve been playing Magic: The Gathering for the first time in 9 years. There have been Limited events all around the globe (in Japan too) commemorating the release of Tenth Edition (I stopped playing before 6th was out) and I’ve been playing a Sealed Deck tournament at a local shop in Fukuoka. Of course I didn’t win the tournament, but I got as much fun as I expected.

Cada participante se hizo su baraja de hoy a partir del contenido de 5 sobres de 15 cartas (las tierras las prestaba la tienda) y jugamos cuatro rondas suizas. La foto de arriba es de cuando estaba eligiendo las cartas con las que iba a jugar.

参加者みんなカード15枚入りのブースターパック5個からカードを選んで今日のデッキを作って（土地はお店から借りた）スイスラウンド４回戦の大会だった。この上はデッキを組んでいるところの写真。

Every player had to build a deck from the contents of 5 booster packs containing 15 cards each (we borrowed the lands from the shop) and then we played 4 Swiss rounds. I took the picture above when I was choosing the cards for my deck.

Y aquí podéis ver algunas cartas que me salieron. Fichas de criatura (tokens) y cartas explicativas que vienen en los sobres nuevos, las tierras de Décima, y algunas cartas que me vinieron muy bien hoy. Clásicos como Choque, Incinerar, Manipulador gélido o Gnomos del frasco; y también un par de cartas que funcionan sorprendentemente bien en formatos limitados: Vendaje y Señuelo. La carta brillante es una Reya Porta Alba promocional que conmemora el evento de hoy. ¡Os la vendo!

この上は僕のブースターにはいていたカード。10版のブースターにはおまけにクリーチャのトークンとか豆知識カードが入っていた。その下は10版の基本地形に、出たクラシック！「ショック」、「火葬」、「氷の干渉器」と「ボトルのノーム」。後、シールド・ドラフト環境で特に助かるカード：「目かくし」と「寄せ餌」。左のプレミアムは今日のイベントの記念にもらった「黎明をもたらす者レイヤ」（売りまーす！）。

And above you can see some of the cards that I opened. 10th Edition boosters have an extra card being a hint/explanation card or a creature token, and next are the 10th Edition lands. Then you can see some useful classics I opened and used: Shock, Incinerate, Icy Manipulator and Bottle Gnomes. And two cards that were especially useful in Limited: Bandage and Lure. Pato en campo de arroz — 田んぼに鴨がいた — A duck in the rice field

Las plantas de arroz ya han crecido un poco desde que las plantaron.

田植えのときからちょっと大きくなっている。

The rice plants have got a little bigger since the day they were planted.

El otro día Cris dijo que cuando hubiera patos en el campo de arroz una foto y aquí está, aunque el pato se ve un poco pequeño si no haces clic en la foto para abrir la versión grande.
