Estación de Hagi

Hagi is in the north of Yamaguchi Prefecture. It was an important place for many things that happened in Japan during the Meiji Period.

Now the city isn’t as big as others, but the station that was built in 1925 is still beautiful.

Aquí se ponían a picar billetes.

Here they would check people’s tickets.

One of the first telephone boxes that were set up in Japan in 1900. They called it «automatic telephone». What would you expect now if a new product was given this name?

El teléfono en sí.

The telephone itself.

Hagi is a very interesting city to visit if you’re interested in History, and we’ll talk about it again.

Arreglando máquinas del Shinkansen

Yesterday waiting for some friends who were coming to Hakata in the Shinkansen, I saw a guy who was repairing one of those ticket checking machine. A great chance to have a peek at the inside.

I find these machines great because you can put your ticket in in any orientation, and still it will be checked and back out in 2 seconds while you walk through the gate.
