Cena de Navidad

Como ayer, día de Navidad, no era festivo en Japón y no pudimos comer en familia, decidimos preparar una cena guapa. Ai hizo sus clásicos macarrones gratinados con pechuga de pollo, y yo hice por primera vez la sopa de ajo que me enseñó a hacer mi mamá por correo electrónico.
Para la sopa usé una cabeza de ajos entera, y tardé un montón en cortarlos en láminas. Después de freírlos lentamente, los cambié en la sartén por rebanadas de una barra de pan muy buena que había comprado Ai, y al final lo metí todo en el caldo junto con un huevo por cabeza.
Salió bastante parecida a la de mi mamá, y nos dieron muchas ganas de comer con mi familia porque, después de cenar nosotros, mi familia en España estaba comiendo sopa de ajo también.

昨日は、自宅で私たちならではのクリスマスの食事を楽しみました♪　私は、グラタンを作り、アレハンドロはスペインのお母さんから教えてもらったというにんにくスープを作ってくれました！にんにくを一玉（というのでしょうか？ひとかけらじゃなくて丸まる一つ！）使って、フランスパンを切って、揚げて、最後に卵を入れて、とっても美味しいスープを作ってくれました。写真では、お味噌汁みたいにみえるやつです。：）　初めて作るって言ってたし、どんどんにんにくを切っていくし、どうなるかと思っていましたが・・・パンは一度揚げてあるので、外側のカリッとした食感も楽しめて、オイシイーーーーっ！感動しました。
その後、skypeでスペインの家族のクリスマスを映像と会話で楽しみ、これまた美味しそうなにんにくスープや生ハムを見るにつけ、今すぐスペインに飛んでいきたいっと思ったのでした♪

Yesterday was Christmas Day, but it’s not a Holiday in Japan and we couldn’t have lunch in family, so we decided to prepare a nice supper. Ai made her delicious chicken gratin and I, for the first time, tried to make the garlic soup my mom had taught me by email.
For the soup I used a whole garlic head, and it took me quite long to slice all the cloves. After frying them, I replaced them at the frying pan with some slices of a very good Spanish-like bread loaf, and at last I threw everything into the soup, plus one egg per person.
The soup ended up quite similar to my mom’s, and we felt we’d love to have lunch with my family this day. A while after we had had supper, they were having garlic soup for lunch in Spain.

tumblebunny ha publicado el que puede ser el primer dibujo que vemos por ahí de pepino. Representa una cosa que no pasó en el Blip Festival, y nos ha parecido súper bonito.

The first night at Blip Festival

I have almost recovered from our trip to New York City, and I really want to tell you all about how it was.

I didn’t get as tired as I thought during the trip itself, but since we were staying at a cheap hostel we weren’t able to rest 100% until we were back in Japan.

The Blip Festival impressed me from the first moment. We got to greet some old friends when we got into the partyplace, including the organizers Nullsleep and Bit Shifter, and we also got to meet some international chipstars. And, right for the first night, it was the most impressing musical event I’ve ever been to. I’d like to write a bit more about the sets that I remember most.

The festival was opened by pro game music composer Virt, who surprised us playing both guitar and keyboard all over his chiptunes. I was gladly surprised by his mixing genres such as power metal and salsa.

Later, Starpause made us feel as clubby and as pr0n as we can get, from his little korean GP32 machine. His crazy clubber moves and his party animal attitude helped a lot, but his music alone would have got us all to dance like it’s the 90s.

Next was x|k, one of the numbers I most wanted to see, because I loved his Game Boy release. This time he used MidiNES, a midi interface for the NES for which he developed the hardware and the software himself. It was the most techno moment that night, and I was surprised because, although I pictured him as a shy and nice guy, he didn’t look nervous at all. That’s the complete opposite to his music!

Goto80 is another of our old friends, but that night we got to see him perform live for the first time. He got us dancing to any genre with his old Commodore 64, from Fantasy‘s perfect pop (chorus sung by himself) to a Chimo Bayo cover! I think he did that because I asked him so much, but Ai, Rabato, Hally from VORC and me were as happy as could be.

And that’s all that comes to my mind at this time about the first time. I’ll get back to you with some of my thoughts for the second one, which was also our night.

La primera noche del Blip Festival

Ya casi estoy recuperado del viaje a Nueva York, y tengo muchas ganas de contaros con más detalle cómo fue todo.

En el viaje a Nueva York me cansé menos de lo que me imaginaba, pero como nos hospedábamos en un albergue no pudimos descansar al 100% hasta que volvimos a Japón.

El Blip Festival me impresionó desde el primer momento. Cuando llegamos pudimos saludar a algunos conocidos, incluidos Nullsleep y Bit Shifter (organizadores del festival), a la vez que conocíamos a varias figuras chiptunianas de nivel internacional. Y desde la primera noche fue el evento musical más impresionante que he presenciado. Voy a extenderme un poco sobre las actuaciones que más me impactaron de la primera noche.

El festival lo abrió Virt, compositor profesional de música para videojuegos. Tocando la guitarra y el teclado (¡a veces a la vez!) sobre sus chiptunes, me sorprendió mezclando sabores musicales como el power metal y la salsa.

Más tarde, Starpause nos hizo sentir la caña más =A= desde su maquinita coreana GP32. Sus movimientos cluberos y su actitud fiestera ayudaron un montón, pero con la música habría sido suficiente para hacernos bailar a todos.

Siguió x|k, uno de los que más ganas tenía de ver, porque me encanta su disco hecho con Game Boy. En esta ocasión usó el MidiNES, un interfaz midi para la NES cuyo hardware y software ha desarrollado él mismo. Fue el momento más techno de la noche, y me sorprendí porque, aunque ya me lo imaginaba tímido a la vez que amable, al contrario que su música es un tipo muy tranquilo.

Goto80 es otro viejo conocido nuestro, pero esa noche lo vimos tocar en directo por primera vez. Con su clásico Commodore 64 nos obligó a disfrutar de cualquier género, desde el pop perfecto de Fantasy (cantando él mismo el estribillo) hasta ¡una versión de Así me gusta a mí de Chimo Bayo! Creo que la hizo porque yo le di mucho la lata, pero tanto Ai como Rabato como Hally de VORC estábamos encantados.

Y esto es todo lo que me viene a la cabeza ahora mismo sobre la primera noche. Ya os cuento otro día algo de la segunda, que es cuando tocamos nosotros.

Medio torrao / 半寝 / half asleep

El martes pasado llegamos de Nueva York por la noche, y el miércoles pos la mañana ya estaba trabajando. Las consecuencias no se hicieron esperar, y el viernes no me pude levantar. Llamé al curro y me quedé todo el día en casa, mayormente durmiendo. El fin de semana fue igual, y hoy lunes he vuelto al curro. Ha ido todo bien, pero en cuando he vuelto a casa y hemos cenado me he vuelto a quedar traspuesto. Lo curioso es que parece ser que (al menos) esta vez no estaba completamente dormido, como se puede ver en el siguiente documento audiovisual. El sobe de hoy por lo visto ha sido leve, porque aquí se me ve con los ojos abiertos pero yo no me acuerdo de nada.

先週の火曜日ニューヨークから帰ってそのまま水曜日から仕事に出たやっぱり駄目でした。金曜日の朝は起きれなかった！仕事を休んで一日中寝て、また週末中ほとんどずっと寝ました。それで、今日は普通に仕事に行ったけど、帰って飯食ったらまた寝ちゃった。しかも寝てるかねてないかよう分からん状態だったらしい。

Last Tuesday night we arrived from New York, and on Wednesday we were already working. So I didn’t have to wait a lot for the drawbacks: on Friday I wasn’t able to get up. I didn’t go to work and spent the whole day sleeping, as I did the whole weekend. I went back to work today, and everything was OK, but as soon I came home and had supper, I fell asleep again. The fun part is, it looks like this time I wasn’t completely asleep. But I can’t remember anything anyway.
