Comienzo del curso en la universidad 大学の入学式

El año académico en Japón empieza en abril y esta semana hay ceremonias de apertura de curso en escuelas y universidades.

日本の学年は4月からだから今週は入学式が多い。

The Japanese academic year starts in April, so this week they’re having a lot of school entrance ceremonies.

Ceremonia de apertura en una universidad femenina cerca de mi trabajo. Casi todas las estudiantes vinieron con traje.

会社の近くの女子大学の入学式。ほとんどの学生がスーツで来た。

School entrance ceremony at a girls’ university near work. Almost everybody was wearing a suit.

La ceremonia se celebró con los cerezos completamente en flor. Se podrían haber quedado por la universidad al medio día y hacer un hanami.

入学式の日、桜は満開だった。そのまま学校に残って花見にしても良かった。

The ceremony took place with the cherry trees in full bloom. They could as well have stayed after the ceremony and pull a hanami.

Un par de personas repartiendo publicidad. En realidad es más efectivo repartir la publicidad los primeros días del curso.

宣伝を配っている何人かがいた。本当は授業が普通に始まってからにした方が効果的らしい。

Some two people were handing publicity. Actually it’s more effective to deliver this stuff once classes start.

Prohibido aparcar bicicletas 駐輪禁止

Por Tenjin me encontré con este pequeño lugar completamente cerrado, en el que aunque no se puede ni andar pone por todas partes que está prohibido aparcar bicicletas.

天神を歩いていたらこの不思議な場所（閉鎖空間かな？）を見かけた。歩いて通るのが無理でも駐輪禁止か？「意味分からない」と思った。書く必要がないだろうと。

At Tenjin I spotted this mysterious zone where one can’t even walk but it says «no parking bicycles» all over the place.

Leyendo el cartel completo, se entiende que donde está prohibido aparcar bicis es en el pasillo de la izquierda porque es una salida de emergencia. Pues podrían poner los mil cartelitos allí, digo yo.

看板をちゃんと読んだら、駐輪禁止になっているのは避難通路である左の方の通路らしい。ならば大量の看板はそっちの方に貼った方がいいのではないか？

When I read the full sign I realized they don’t want you to park your bike at the corridor on the left because it’s an emergency exit. Then why won’t they put all those signs on the corridor walls?

Comeflores con cerezo (sakura) — 代々木公園で桜を食べた

El domingo después de Twittok quedamos con Héctor para hablar un ratito antes de coger el avión, y aprovechamos para dar un pequeño paseo por el Parque Yoyogi, donde había un par de cerezos que ya tenían flores.

Twittokの翌日の日曜日は帰りの飛行機に乗る前にエクトルとちょろっと会って代々木公園を歩きながらいろんな話をした。桜は2本ぐらい咲いてた。

The Sunday following Twittok we met Hector for a little walk by Yoyogi Park before flying back to Fukuoka. Only a pair of cherry trees were blossoming.

Le dejé mi cámara y nos hizo estas fotos comiendo flores. No salimos más guapos porque no lo somos. ¡Gracias, Héctor!

僕のカメラで桜を食べるところを撮ってもらった。やっぱりいい写真撮るね。エクトルありがとう！

He took with my camera some pictures of us eating flowers. These are really well taken pictures—we can’t look prettier than this because we aren’t. Thank you Hector!

Camisetas de manga UNIQLO — クロマティ高校Tシャツ

El otro día dando vueltas por Tenjin descubrí que UNIQLO está lanzando una nueva colección de camisetas de manga (de personajes de cómic) en colaboración con dos veteranas revistas.

先日天神でうろうろしていたら知った。UNIQLOが新しいマンガTシャツのコレクションを、おなじみの2つの漫画雑誌とのコラボで出していることを。

The other day having a walk by Tenjin I found out that UNIQLO is selling a new collection of manga T-shirts in collaboration with two veteran manga magazines.

Tanto el semanario Shonen Sunday de Shogakukan como el Shonen Magazine de Kodansha van a cumplir 50 años el año que viene, y han decidido junto con la tienda de ropa UNIQLO lanzar una serie de camisetas con diseños basados en personajes de ambas revistas.

Las camisetas están saliendo cada semana y seguirán haciendo nuevas hasta la semana del 50 aniversario que celebrarán el año que viene. La primera entrega fue hace un par de semanas y salieron 10. A partir de entonces se están poniendo a la venta cada miércoles una o más camisetas.

小学館の少年サンデーも講談社の少年マガジンも来年で50周年になるらしくて、UNIQLOと協力して両誌のキャラクターをデザインに使用したTシャツのシリーズを発売することが決まった。

Tシャツは毎週出て、50周年の週まで出続けるらしい。最初は2週間ぐらい前10枚が発売されて、それから毎週1枚以上が出るってこと。

Both Shogakukan‘s Shonen Sunday and Kodansha‘s Shonen Magazine are having their 50th anniversary next year, and they have decided with clothing shop UNIQLO to launch a series of T-shirts with designs based on characters from both magazines.

T-shirts are coming out every week and they will keep coming until the anniversary week which will be next year. The first shipment was out about two weeks ago and it consisted on 10 T-shirts. Then we’re having one or more new shirts every week.

Valen 1500 yenes (menos de 10 euros) y yo por ahora solo me he comprado la de Mechazawa de Instituto Cromartie, pero ya me iré comprando las que me gusten de entre las que vayan saliendo. Por ahora las hay de Tiger Mask, Gegege no Kitaro, Ranma 1/2, Kyojin no Hoshi (La estrella de los Gigantes), Touch (Bateadores), Hajime no Ippo (Fighting Spirit), Detective Conan, Urusei Yatsura (Lamu o Lum), Patlabor y Makoto-chan. El miércoles 2 se pondrá a la venta una de Ashita no Joe.

1枚1500円だけど、僕は今のところ「魁！クロマティ高校」の「メカ沢」のやつしか買っていない。また好きなのが出たら買おうかな。今まで出たのは：タイガーマスク、ゲゲゲの鬼太郎、らんま1/2、巨人の星、タッチ、はじめの一歩、名探偵コナン、うる星やつら、機動警察パトレイバーとまことちゃん。2日の水曜日は「明日のジョー」のTシャツが出るらしい。

They are 1500 yen each, but for now I’ve only got the one featuring Mechazawa from Cromartie High School. I’ll get the new ones that I like as they come out. For now, there are T-shirts with designs from Tiger Mask, Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro, Ranma 1/2, Star of the Giants, Touch, Fighting Spirit, Case Closed (Detective Conan), Urusei Yatsura (Lum), Mobile Police Patlabor and Makoto-chan. On Wednesday 2nd a new shirt with a Tomorrow’s Joe design will be avaliable.

Por cierto, Instituto Cromartie es un manga de humor chorra que consigue ser bastante moderno a pesar de estar basado en coñas completamente clásicas. Y las portadas son impresionantes. ¿Encontráis referencias a algo además de Warhol y Kraftwerk? Porque estoy seguro de que las hay.

ちなみに「クロ高」は古いギャグを使いながらある意味「おしゃれ」でいられるのは凄いと思う。表紙もかっこいいと思う。僕にはウォーホルとクラフトワークのパロディーが見えたが、みんなは他のに気がついたのかな？絶対あると思う。

By the way Cromartie High School is a gag based humour comic which manages to feel quite modern despite using always classic jokes. And the books’ jackets are very cool. Can you se some Warhol or Kraftwerk there? I bet there are more references but I can’t find them. Can you?

Nakatanaka — 中田中

Hoy os presentamos un buen sitio para comer mucho y bien en Fukuoka: Nakatanaka.

今日紹介するのは福岡でおいしくたっぷり食べれるお店: 中田中。

Today we’re introducing a place to eat lots of tasty food in Fukuoka: Nakatanaka.

Verduras salteadas, hamburguesa con huevo frito, cerdo a la plancha con gengibre y fritangas variadas. Todo esto es para dos; con arroz, sopa de miso y algo más para picar. 890 yenes por cabeza (unos 5.80 euros).

野菜炒め、ハンバーグ＋卵焼き、生姜焼きそしてミックスフライ。全部で二人分。ご飯、お味噌汁、漬け物付きで一人890円。

Fried veggies, Hamburg steak with fried egg, pork fried with ginger and a variety of fried stuff. This is food for 2 people, for 890 yen a person. With rice, miso soup etc. as usual.

Esto es lo que ves mientras comes, pero también tienen bastantes revistas interesantes que contrastan con los manga trasnochados (aunque carismáticos) que hay en otros restaurantes de menú.

これは食べながら見れる景色。その他に、どこのお店にでもありそうなださくていい感じの漫画の代わりに面白い本と雑誌が置いてある。

This is what you see while eating. There’s also trendy books and magazines, instead of the old, cheesy but fun manga they have in other restaurants.

El servicio es muy importante en cualquier restaurante. El interior de todo el local es muy sencillo y moderno.

トイレはどう考えてもお店の重要な点の一つである。中田中のインテリアは全体的にさっぱりしていておしゃれだ。

These facilities are very important for every restaurant. Interior design for the whole place is very simple and modern.
