Hogueras de San Juan 火祭り

La fiesta más grande de Alicante, mi ciudad natal, son las hogueras de San Juan. Como en las Fallas de Valencia, más de mil enormes obras de arte se quemarán en una noche. La noche del 24 de junio.

僕の地元アリカンテ市の一番大きなお祭りは、サンフアン火祭り。バレンシアの火祭りみたいに、一千以上のでかいアート作品（オゲラ）が一晩に燃やされる。それは６月4日。

The biggest festival in Alicante, my hometown, is called the bonfires of Saint John. Much like Valencia’s Fallas, more than 1000 huge works of art burn during a single night. This happens every June 24th.

La semana anterior ya están puestas las hogueras en las calles dificultando el tráfico, y todos los días a las 2 de la tarde se tira la mascletá, que es un concierto de petardos tan fuerte que que se escucha a kilómetros de distancia.

オゲラが1週間前ぐらいから置いてあって、交通の邪魔をする。それに、毎日午後2時にマスクレタがある。マスクレタとは、数キロ離れても聞こえる爆竹と花火のコンサート。

The bonfires are already on their places around a week before, making it difficult to drive around the city. Also every day at 2 pm there’s the Mascletá, which is a concert of loud firecrackers that can be listened from kilometers away.

Muchas hogueras muestran escenas que satirizan a personas o eventos que han dado que hablar durante el año anterior.

今年話題になった人物や出来事のパロディーになっているオゲラの部分が多い。

Many bonfires have scenes that satirize people or events that people will remember from this year’s news.

José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, el Presidente del Gobierno, tampoco se escapa de ser ninotizado. Prácticamente todos estos ninots (muñecos) acaban hechos cenizas, pero esto de quemar muñecos de gente que existe de verdad no tiene nada que ver con ningún mal de ojo, sino que solamente busca divertir a los alicantinos y a todos los que gusten de visitarnos. De todas formas, ¿de quién te gustaría ver un ninot ardiendo mañana?

ザパテロ首相までオゲラの人形にされている。ほとんどの人形が灰になるけど、実際存在する人物の人形を燃やしても、それは呪いとかそういうことじゃなくてみんなが楽しめるただの明るいお祭りです。ちなみに、あなたなら誰の人形が燃えるのを見たい？

Not even President Zapatero is free from being made a doll. Almost every doll turns into ashes, but this burning of depictions of real people has nothing to do with any curse or occult stuff. It’s just a party for everyone to enjoy. Anyway, whose doll would you like to see burning tomorrow?

Día de Sant Jordi サンジョルディの日

Hoy 23 de abril es el día de San Jorge, y en Cataluña se celebra el día de Sant Jordi regalando las mujeres un libro a los hombres, y los hombres una rosa a las mujeres. En Barcelona se celebra una feria del libro en la que la librería Alibri tendrá disponible nuestro libro de fotografías Soñar con Japón en su stand. El libro también está en su tienda y en su página web donde también venden al extranjero.

4月23日はサンジョルディの日。カタルーニャでは女性が男性に本をプレゼントし、男性が女性に薔薇をプレゼントする決まりがある。バルセロナではブックフェアーが行われて、本屋さんのAlibriのお店で僕らの写真集Soñar con Japónを購入出来る。店舗にも置いてあって、ウェブサイトでも通販されている（国際配送も可）。

Today 23th of April is Saint George’s day, and in Catalunya women give a book to men, and men give a rose to women. In Barcelona there’s a book fair where bookstore Alibri will have our photobook Soñar con Japón for sale at their stand. The book is also for sale at their store and online on their website (they ship overseas).

La semana de España スペイン写真ウイーク

David Morales de Fotocompra, el amigo que me lió en el equipo del libro Soñar con Japón, presenta en SoHo Art Gallery la primera exposición de fotografías de España que se organiza en Osaka. Será del 12 al 17 de mayo. Aquí tenéis la invitación y la lista de fotógrafos.

Hanami con Takahin 花見

Los cerezos llevan ya semanas en flor en Fukuoka, y hace unos días Takahin y yo improvisamos un hanami en el Parque Kasuga.

桜は結構前から咲いている福岡。先週春日公園でたかひんといきなり花見した。

Cherry trees have been blossoming for weeks in Fukuoka, and lately I went to hanami with Takahin at Kasuga Park.

Compramos algo de comida en el supermercado y pasamos un rato haciendo chorradas como grabar este vídeo.

スーパーで買い物して、公園でバカな時間を過ごした。例えばこの動画。

Grabbed some food at the supermarket and spent some precious time doing silly stuff like this movie.

Guía de Aprendizaje del Idioma Japonés

Ayer en la Kokusai Hiroba de Acros, Magí y yo encontramos esta Guía de Aprendizaje del Idioma Japonés y de la Vida en Japón, un libro gratuito que ha elaborado la Agencia de Asuntos Culturales de Japón para ayudar a los inmigrantes a adaptarse a la vida en Japón. Está disponible en coreano, chino, portugués, castellano e inglés desde el 15 de enero de 2009.

昨日アクロスのこくさいひろばでマジと一緒にこの「日本語学習・生活ハンドブック」を発見した。文化庁が制作して無料で配布している、外国人が日本での生活を楽にするための本です。21年1月15日から韓国・朝鮮語版、中国語版、ポルトガル語版、スペイン語版と英語版があります。

Yesterday at Acros‘s Kokusai Hiroba, Magí and I found this Handbook of Learning Japanese and Life in Japan, a book by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs to help foreign residents with life in Japan. It’s available in Korean, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish and English since January 15, 2009.

Imaginaos mi sorpresa al encontrarme al final del libro un manga inédito de 20 páginas del clásico de la ciencia ficción Leiji Matsumoto (Galaxy Express 999, Capitán Harlock…). El título en español es «Sueño que envuelve el Planeta» aunque yo lo habría traducido como «La tierra envuelta en un sueño».

本の最後の方に松本零士先生（銀河鉄道999、宇宙海賊キャプテーンハーロック等）の新作20ページのまんがが収録されていてビックリした！「夢がつつむ地球」というまんがです。

I was really surprised to find at the end of the book a 20 page previously unpublished manga by classic author Leiji Matsumoto (Galaxy Express 999, Captain Harlock…). I haven’t seen the English translation of the title, but it should be something like «The Earth covered with a dream».

Habla de una chica europea que viene a vivir a Japón, y de que toda la humanidad comparte un sueño y de que no hay fronteras. Aquí abajo tenéis algunas frases que no han quedado muy naturales en la versión en castellano. A lo mejor no tenían a nadie que les validara las traducciones.

ヨーロッパから日本に引っ越した女の子の話です。人類全てが同じ夢を見て、国境がないという話も出てくる。この下の台詞はスペイン語版で少し不自然で面白かった。母国語の人にジョン役の内容を確認してもらえなかったかな。

It’s the story of a European girl who comes to live in Japan, and it also talks about all humanity sharing a dream and there being no frontiers. The dialogs below are slightly unnatural and fun in the Spanish version. Wonder if they didn’t have a proofreader for the translation.

El libro en español se puede descargar en PDF de forma gratuita desde la página de la Agencia (el primer PDF trae todos los capítulos, no necesitas más), y además se permite su libre distribución siempre que sea gratuita. Lamentablemente el cómic no está incluído en el PDF, a pesar de que aparece en el índice. ¡Descarga súper recomendada a todos los que queráis aprender japonés y cómo es la vida en Japón! Y si vives en Japón lo puedes pedir por correo por unos pocos yens, está todo explicado allí.

全ての言語のバージョンはPDFでダウンロード可能だし、無料で配布することも許可されています（自由利用マーク）。残念ながらまんががPDFに含まれていないけど（目次には出てるのに）、日本語と日本での生活に興味がある方におすすめします。少しお金を出せば郵送してもらえるし。

The book in English is available in PDF form at the Agency’s site (the first PDF has all the chapters, you only need that), and they even allow further distribution with the condition that you don’t charge. This is the Agency’s distribution license. Unfortunately the manga isn’t on the PDF (even while you can see it on the index), but it’s still a very worth read for anyone interested in the Japanese language or in life in Japan. Also, if you live in Japan you can order a copy for some yen. Check the info at their site.
