Este fue nuestro montaje en la fiesta de 10º aniversario de Fukuoka Now, y aquí abajo tenéis el escenario. Si alguien tiene fotos del concierto que nos las envíe por favor.

This was our setup at Fukuoka Now’s 10th Anniversary Party, and below is the stage. If someone has pictures of our live, please send.

El sonido fue bastante penoso porque además de no haber monitores (algo que hemos sufrido antes pero que ya hemos decidido no volver a aceptar) el volumen era tan bajo que ni el público ni nosotros mismos podíamos oír la música. Resultado: nuestra mesa de mezclas con niveles y gains subidos hasta límites absurdos, y nosotros incómodos y equivocándonos sin parar. No voy a compartir la grabación del concierto porque es muy dolorosa, pero pondremos una maqueta de una de las canciones nuevas muy pronto. Conclusión: hay que ser especialmente estricto en las pruebas de sonido cuando no es un sitio para hacer conciertos. Pero de todas formas la gente se divirtió mucho y nos gustó mucho tocar para gente nueva y hablar con ellos después. Gracias a Nick y a todos los de Fukuoka Now!

音は・・・痛かった。モニターがないのは初めてじゃないけどもう最後だと決めた。また、音量が小さすぎて音楽は客にもバンドにも聞こえなかった。結果は二つ：ミキサーを最大過ぎに設定しちゃったし、僕たちはやりにくくて間違えてばかりだった。ライブの録音は痛くて共有しないけど、近いうちに新曲の一つのデモを公開する。結論：ライブに向いてなさそうな箱だとサウンドテストを特に厳しくしないといけない。でも結局みんなが楽しめたし、僕たちも新しい人の為にライブ出来て嬉しかった。ニックとフクオカ・ナウの皆さんに感謝しています！

Sound was quite pitiful as not only there were no monitors (something we’ve endured before but after this time decided not to accept again) but the volume was so low that neither the audience or ourselves could hear the music. Results: levels and gains shamefully high on our mixer, and ourselves feeling awkward and making errors all the time. I’m not sharing the live recording as it a shame, but we’ll be releasing a demo of one of the new songs very soon. Conclusion: we must be specially strict when testing sound at places that are not really for playing live. Still, people enjoyed it and we were happy to play for a bunch of new people. Thank you Nick and all Fukuoka Now staff!

Y Rob Morgan, el colega que me entrevistó, iba demasiado ciego esa noche. Lo tuvimos que acompañar a casa. Ai no bebe, solo tiene cara rara en esta foto.

そしてRob Morgan、インタビューしてくれたフクオカ・ナウの人は飲み過ぎた。家まで送ることになった。愛は飲まない。この写真で顔が変なだけ。

And Rob Morgan, the Fukuoka Now guy who interviewed me, was too drunk. We had to walk him home. Ai doesn’t drink, she just looks weird on this photo.

Resultados del JLPT 日本語能力試験の結果

Ayer me llegó esta postal notificándome de los resultados del Examen Oficial de Nivel de Lengua Japonesa, también conocido como Noken o JLPT. Algunos os enterásteis en cuestión de segundos por mi post en Twitter (¡gracias!). Nunca volveré a aprobar este examen, pero si quieres puedes seguirme en Twitter.

昨日、日本語能力試験（能験）の結果がハガキで届いた。すぐツイッターに投稿したから、既に聞いている人もいる（ありがとう！）。これからはもうこの試験が受かることがないだろうと思うけど、ツイッターでフォローはいかが？

Yesterday I got this postcard with the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) results. Some of you already know because I posted immediatly to Twitter (thank you!). I won’t ever pass this test again, but feel free to follow me on Twitter.

¡Tengo aprobado el nivel más alto, el nivel 1! Con cerca del 75% de los puntos, pero esto no es ninguna notaza ni mucho menos. Para compensar que el examen es del tipo «A B C D» se necesita un mínimo de 70% para aprobar (60% en los niveles inferiores). Mis notas más altas están en escucha, lectura y gramática. Precisamente lo que más necesito (y uso) para la vida y el trabajo. Estoy satisfecho con mi japonés y mi ritmo de aprendizaje, que no ha bajado en ningún momento. En ningún momento dudé de mis capacidades, pero al no haber «estudiado» formalmente hablando no tenía claro si este examen iba a tenerlas en cuenta. ¡Pero me alegro mucho de haber aprobado! Y voy a seguir aprendiendo toda la vida.

1級合格だ！ほぼ75%だけどそれが全然凄くない。1級合格の最低限は70%だし（下の級は60%）。一番よく出来たのは聴解と読解・文法だった。毎日の生活と仕事で使うやつだからかな。全体的に考えても自分の「日本語を学ぶスピード」では満足している。自分の能力を疑ったことがないけど、普通の勉強はしていないので自分の能力がこの試験で評価されるか分からなかった。でも受かってよかった！これからもずっと頑張って習い続ける。

I passed level 1, the highest level! Got almost 75% but that’s not very good. In compensation for being an «A B C D test», minimum for level 1 is 70%, or 60% for lower levels. My better results are on listening, reading and grammar. The ones I need (and use) most for living and working. I’m satisfied with my current Japanese and my learning speed and I have never doubted of my skills, but as I didn’t study «their way» I didn’t know if my skills would be detected or appreciated by this test. But I’m very happy to have passed! I’ll still be learning while I’m alive.

Me compré este libro de exámenes resueltos de 3 años pensando que me serviría para la siguiente convocatoria también, pero al final solo lo usé un rato la noche anterior al examen. Se lo regalaré a un amigo que se va a presentar.

「来年も使えるだろう」と思ってこの3年分の試験問題と正解の本を買ったけど、前の日の夜しか使っていない。今度受ける友達にあげることにする。

Got this book with 3 years worth of past tests with answers, thinking that I would use it this year too. But I only used it for a while the night before the test. I’m giving it to a friend taking the test this year.

Porteño ポルテーニョ

El Porteño es el restaurante más argentino donde he comido en mi vida y está en Fukuoka. El sábado cenamos allí Ai y yo.

福岡の「ポルテーニョ」はぼくが行っている中で一番アルゼンチンっぽいアルゼンチン料理のお店。先週の土曜日は愛と一緒に晩ご飯を食べに行った。

Porteño in Fukuoka is the most Argentinian restaurant I’ve ever been at. Last Saturday Ai and I had supper there.

Parece que lo más popular son las empanadas, los chorizos (nota para españoles: tienen más en común con las butifarras catalanas que a los chorizos españoles) y la milanesa napolitana. Me encantan todos.

人気メニューはエンパナーダとチョリソとミラネサナポリタナらしい。全部好き。

Looks like the most popular dishes are empanadas, chorizos and milanesa napolitana. I love them all.

Empanada lista para comer. Empezada a comer, de hecho. Me gustan mucho todo tipo de empanadas, y las argentinas que son calientes y un poco picantes me encantan (me refiero a las empanadas). Me fastidia un poco que en las panaderías japonesas no vendan empanadillas, porque no puedo preguntarles «las empanadillas de qué son».

すぐ食べられそうなエンパナーダ。本当は既に食べ始めてたけど。

Ready to eat empanada. Well, I had actually started having it.

El chimichurri pica un poco y se mete en la empanada a discreción. Está hecho de aceite, vinagre, perejil, ajo y yo qué sé qué mas.

エンパナーダにチミチュリを好きなだけ入れて自分なりに辛くする。チミチュリの材料は油と酢とニンニクとパセリなどなど。味も見た目も辛子高菜に少し似てる。

You put as much chimichurri as you like in your empanada, as it’s quite spocy. Made of oil, vinegar, parsley, garlic and what more.

La ensalada de palmito, con aguacate y tomate, nos gusta tanto que siempre la pedimos.

パルミットサラダにはヤシの新芽とアボカドとトマトが入ってる。凄く好きで毎回頼んでしまう。

The palmito salada has heart of palm, avocado and tomato. We like it as much as to order it every single time we come here.

Probamos por primera vez el chorizo con arroz, un plato sencillo y potente.

チョリソ・コン・アロスは初めて食べた。分かりやすくて効果的な一品だ。

It was oir first time having chorizo con arroz. It’s a simple and effective dish.

Suprema con papa frita. Por cierto, la suprema es pollo empanado y la milanesa es ternera empanada, o sea escalope.

スプレパ・パパ・フリタ。ちなみに「スプレマ」は鶏カツのことで「ミラネサ」は牛カツ。

Suprema papa frita. Suprema is breaded chicken while milanesa is breaded beef.

Mario es un gran cocinero y le encanta sentarse un rato en nuestra mesa a hablar con nosotros. Cuando vamos al Porteño vamos a visitar a unos amigos. Si vais, saludad a los dos de nuestra parte. Por supuesto ya le he dicho que se parece al Mario de Nintendo con ese peto.

マリオさんは凄い料理人だけではなくて、いつもテーブルで一緒に座ってみんなで少しお話する。ポルテーニョに行くときは友達に会いに行く気持ちです。もし行くことがあったら、二人によろしく伝えて下さい。もちろん、このツナギで任天堂のマリオに似てるとは既に言っている。

Mario is not only a great cook but a very nice guy too. He always sits down by our table for a while and we talk about stuff. When we go to Porteño we go to our friend’s place. If you go, greet them for us. Of course I’ve already told him he looks like Nintendo’s Mario with those overalls.

Club de lectura Tragaletras

¡Nos ha llegado este saludo del Club de lectura Tragaletras, de la Biblioteca Municipal de Villarrobledo, Albacete! Por cierto, «Tragaletras» en japonés se escribe 文字食い y se dice «Mojigui».

スペインのアルバセテ県にあるビリャロブレド市立図書館のトラガレトラス読書サークルからご挨拶来ました！（ちなみに「トラガレトラス」とは「文字食い」という意味です）

We just got this greeting from Tragaletras Reading Club at the Villarrobledo City Library. (Tragaletras meaning «that who swallows characters».)

En este vídeo les devuelvo el saludo y os cuento a todos qué manga y qué videojuegos me gustan. Al final también se ve un poquito de cómo se hace la música con Game Boy.

And this shows the little guys and girls in the Club learning how to eat using chopsticks. It’s a great idea to use snacks for this!

Comida rápida en casa 家でファストフード

Muchos días como solo y, aunque comer fuera es barato en Japón, a veces me soluciono la comida rápidamente en casa.

一人でお昼食べることが多い。日本では外食も安くつくけど、たまには家で簡単に済ませる。

I have lunch alone quite often. Luckily one can eat out inexpensively in Japan, but sometimes I just have something simple at home.

Las salsas preparadas son bastante baratas en Japón (unos 100 yenes), y no están nada mal. Vienen en un sobre que se calienta al baño maría.

日本のパスタソースは安く（100円ぐらい）て美味しい。お湯に入れて温めるだけだし。

Pre-cooked pasta sauces are cheap in Japan (about ¥100), and they taste quite good. You just have to put the envelope in hot water to warm it up.

Mmm… Carbonara. カルボナーラ！

Pero no solo de cosas precocinadas vive el hombre, así que me hice una sencilla ensalada con lechuga y tomate.

でもレトルト等ばかり食べていられないから、トマトとレタスで簡単なサラダも作っておいた。

But even I can’t have only pre-cooked stuff, so I also made myself a simple salad with a tomato and some lettuce.

Con aceite de oliva arbequina del que nos dio Magí, que está buenísimo.

ドレッシングはマジーにもらった凄く美味しいアルベキーナオリーブオイル。

Dressed with delicious arbequina olive oil that Magí gave us.

Con esto y un plátano comí bastante bien. ¡Que aproveche! Por cierto, ¿cómo son tus comidas sencillas en casa?
