Summon Night サモンナイト

Me apetece hablar de los Summon Night, que llevan un par de años entre mis juegos favoritos. El Summon Night original es de estrategia tipo Tactics Ogre pero de muy buen rollo, y era de PlayStation pero lo pasaron a DS el año pasado. El Summon Night 2 también está en DS pero todavía me lo tengo que comprar.

今日は2年前ぐらいからお気に入りシリーズになってるサモンナイトについてお話させてもらおう。最初の「サモンナイト」はタクティクスオウガ系S-RPGでした。プレステ用だったけど、去年DS移植が出た。「サモンナイト2」もDS版出てるけどまだ買ってない。

Today I felt like talking about one of my favorite RPG series these years. The original Summon Night was a Tactics Ogre styled strategy RPG for the PlayStation, but it got ported to the DS last year. Summon Night 2 DS is there too, just haven’t bought it yet.

Aunque lo primero que conocí en realidad fue los Summon Night: Craft Sword Monogatari de Game Boy Advance (dos de los cuales salieron en inglés) que son de rol japonés más o menos normal con batallas de acción que me gustan bastante más que las del Tales of Phantasia.

本当は初めて知ったのはGBA用の「サモンナイトクラフトソード物語」。普通の日本風RPGだけど、アクションバトルは「テイルズ・オブ・ファンタジア」より好きだった。

But what actually got me into the series was the Summon Night: Swordcraft Story subseries for the GameBoy Advance (note the first 2 games have an English version). They are classic Japanese role-playing with action battles which I liked more than those of Tales of Phantasia.

El Summon Night: Craft Sword Monogatari 2 es mucho más completo y recomiendo empezar por él. El mundo y los personajes de los juegos de la serie Summon Night están muy cuidados y además no tienen rollos chungos ni oscuros sino que la historia está al servicio del juego y de divertir. Así me gusta.

でも「サモンナイトクラフトソード物語2」の方は完成度高くて、初めてならこれをすすめたい。サモンナイトシリーズの世界観とキャラクターはよく出来てるが、珍しく明るい！お話のおかげでゲームが気軽に楽しめる。これは上手い。

Anyway Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 2 was so much better overall that I would recommend giving it a try first. The world and characters in the Summon Night series are very well-done, but they are also light hearted what in my opinion helps enjoying the game. Yes I like having fun when playing games.

El Summon Night: Craft Sword Monogatari Hajimari no Ishi (el 3) está al altísimo nivel del segundo en cuanto a calidad. Son de mis juegos de rol favoritos para Game Boy Advance, y en este mundo de gente ocupada también es una ventaja que no sean demasiado largos ni difíciles. Se puede acabar cada uno en menos de 20 horas.

「サモンナイトクラフトソード物語はじまりの石」(３作目)も前作と同じくレベルが高い。GBAのRPGの中でもなかなかのお気に入り。また、忙しい世界でありがたく、プレイ時間が長過ぎない。難易度も控えめで、20時間以内でクリア出来る。

Summon Night Swordcraft Story: The First Stone (number 3) is as great as the second one. They are among my favorite RPGs for the GBA, and in this busy world I also appreciate them being as short as 20 hours each. And well, they aren’t too hard either.

Mirad qué fondos, personajes y retratos. Gráficos 2D hechos con mucho cariño, y a baja resolución yo los veo hasta más bonitos. Por cierto, ¿de qué juegos os gustaría hablar aquí la próxima vez?

ほらこの背景、キャラクター、肖像・・・愛情溢れる2次作品！低解像度では僕にはさらに可愛く見える。ちなみに今度はどんなゲームについて話そうか？

Look at those backgrounds, sprites and portraits – 2D graphics drawn by hand, with love! I even like them better in low resolutions. By the way, what game would you like me to talk about next time?

El primero que se hizo especialmente para DS y su pantalla táctil es Summon Night: Twin Age, un juego de rol en que los que los monstruos te rodean y te atacan en tiempo real (este también ha salido en el extranjero). Me gustaron más los de Advance, pero no me llegó a aburrir porque era corto. Y a ver qué tal el Summon Night X: Tears Crown, que va a ser otro juego de rol nuevo para DS y saldrá este año.

DS専用で最初に作られたのはこの「サモンナイトツインエイジ」。リアルタイムで敵に囲まれて攻撃されるゲームです。アドバンスの方が面白かったけど、これも嫌いではなかった。短かったし。今年発売予定の「サモンナイトX 〜ティアーズクラウン〜」もDS専用RPGらしいけど、どうなんだろう？楽しみ。

The first Summon Night game done specially for the DS and its touch screen was Summon Night: Twin Age, a role-playing game where monsters surround and attack you in real time (this one is out in English too). I liked the Advance ones better, but this wasn’t bad and was too short to hate it. Let’s see what this new DS game Summon Night X: Tears Crown turns into. It’s coming out later this year.

Bocadillos de jamón y turrón de Alicante 生ハムとトゥロン

Ayer abrimos uno de los paquetes de jamón serrano que nos quedan envasados al vacío, y nos hicimos unos bocadillos con pan de nuestra panadería favorita y el excelente aceite de arbequina (un tipo de oliva) que nos regaló Magí.

昨日は大事に保管してるハモン・セラーノ（スペインの生ハム）の真空パックを1つ開けて、お気に入りのパン屋さんのバゲットとマジーにもらった凄いアルベキーナ・オリーブ・オイルで美味しいサンドイッチをいただきました。

Yesterday we opened one of the jamón serrano (Spanish ham) packs we have in stock, and had some great sandwiches with a baguette from our favorite bakery and the excellent arbequina olive oil Magi gave us.

Y para postre abrimos el turrón de Alicante que nos enviaron mis padres por Navidad. ¡Buenísimo! El turrón de Alicante es el duro, o sea del que lleva las almendras enteras, y ojo porque tanto el turrón de Jijona como el de Alicante solo se pueden hacer en Jijona. Son denominaciones de origen.

そしてデザートには親からクリスマスに送ってもらったトゥロン・デ・アリカンテを開けた。美味しい！トゥロン・デ・アリカンテはトゥロンの固い方、アーモンドが丸ごとのやつ。
豆知識：「トゥロン・デ・ヒホナ」も「トゥロン・デ・アリカンテ」もヒホナ市でしか作らせない規制がある。

And for the dessert we opened the turrón de Alicante my parents sent us for Christmas. Yummy! Turrón de Alicante is the hard turrón with the whole almonds, and here is some trivia: both turrón de Jijona and turrón de Alicante can only be made in the town called Jijona, because of a naming regulation.

gamerah.com, la web de videojuegos en español que yo mismo administraba junto con su creador y que ha proporcionado el hosting para pepinismo durante mucho tiempo, ha desaparecido. Algunos nos recordaréis por nuestra broma del día de los inocentes de 2004, que era una descojonante entrevista falsa a Hiroshi Yamauchi, antiguo presidente de Nintendo. Durante un tiempo toda la gente del mundo de los videojuegos hablaba de la entrevista, y muchos medios hicieron eco de ella ya fuera a sabiendas de que era todo mentira o bien creyendo que era todo verdad (lo que nos daba mucha risa y satisfacción).

スペイン語ゲーム関連サイトgamerah.comがなくなった。サイトを始めた友達（オーナー）と一緒に管理してて楽しかった。pepinismoのホスティングもずっと提供していただいていました。2004年12月28日（スペインのエイプリルフールみたいな日）に公開したネタは任天堂の元社長、山内溥氏との「偽インタビュー」が一瞬、世界中でゲーム業界の目を奪った。いろんなメディアにもニュースとして掲載されたが、その中には「偽物」だったことを知らなかったメディアもあって、爆笑の連続でした。

gamerah.com, the Spanish gaming website that I was managing with its owner and provided the hosting for pepinismo, has passed away. Some of you might remember our joke for 28th December 2004 (Spain’s April Fools) which consisted in a fake interview to Hiroshi Yamauchi, the former Nintendo president. For a while, all the people in the industry was talking about that. Many media echoed it, too. Some of them as a funny hoax, and some other presenting it as breaking news. The latter were most fun and satisfying.

Este es un cómic de despedida que nos hizo una de nuestras lectoras más agradecidas, Doña Maria Luisa (y su hija que es diseñadora gráfica). Batería cargador USB para iPhone 充電できるUSBバッテリー

Uno de mis últimos gadgets es esta batería de litio de 1400 mAh de la marca Linkage que recarga mis cacharros a través de cables cargadores USB. Me la compré mayormente porque al iPhone se le gasta bastante rápido.

最近買った電機の中で気に入ったのはこのLinkage製のリチウム充電式バッテリー（容量：1400mAh）。USB充電ケーブルを繋げると何でも充電出来る。主に、充電があまり持たないiPhoneのために買った。

One of my latest gadgets is this 1400 mAh lithium rechargeable battery from Linkage. You can charge anything provided you have a USB charge cable for it. I got it mainly for my iPhone, because its battery drains too fast.

Luego de vuelta en casa le sacas los pinchos, la enchufas y que descanse. De las que he visto de esta marca, las que llevan pintado el mapa del mundo aceptan de 100 a 240 voltios. Así que por ejemplo se pueden usar en España si les pones los pinchos de enchufe correspondientes.

Back home, take those pins out, plug it and let it have a rest. I’ve seen some different batteries from this maker, and looks like the ones with a world map on them will work everywhere (100-240 V). If you’ve got a pin adapter, you can use this in Spain, etc.

Suelo comprarme cargadores USB para todo lo que puedo y por eso esta batería me sirve para muchas maquinitas, como esta PSP-2000 de Sony.

出来るだけ何のためにもUSB充電ケーブルを買うことにしてるから、このバッテリーはいろんなおもちゃに使える。例えばソニーのこのPSP-2000。

I tend to get USB chargers for all my gadgets so I can use this battery with most of my stuff. For example, this PSP-2000 from Sony.

También vale para la Nintendo DS lite. La DSi está llorando en un rincón porque su clavija es diferente y no le he encontrado cargador USB todavía. ¿Por qué, Nintendo, por qué? orz

I can also use it for the Nintendo DS lite. The DSi is crying in a corner because she has a different connector and doesn’t have a USB charger yet. Why, Nintendo? Why? orz

¡Y por supuesto las Game Boy! Tengo un cable que me carga las dos a la vez. La Game Boy Advance SP (la de la foto es la retroiluminada) y la Game Boy micro son las únicas que existen con batería recargable.

もちろんゲームボーイにも！両方を同時に充電してくれるケーブルを持ってる。ゲームボーイアドバンスSP（写真のは海外版の明るい方です）とゲームボーイミクロだけには充電式電池がついてる。

And of course, the Game Boys! I’ve got a cable that charges both of them for me. The Game Boy Advance SP (the one on the pic is the «brighter» backlit one) and the Game Boy micro are the only ones with a rechargeable battery.
